While it's made of plastic --it appears as long as it's not knocked around too much it'll be ok. A little concerning was the warmth of the wires leading to the battery connectors, but I topped off 4 tires from 45 psi to the required 50 psi fairly quickly and w/o hassle. Still -- it's one of those cheaper made China products mass produced so anyone can slap their brand on it. They rarely last long -- we shall see.     • Wow! All four tires aired up and patch kit to boot :).
Finally, the moment came to use the kit and it worked flawlessly:). I did add gloves to the kit but the pump is a monster:).

It works well but I will only be using it one tire at a time. Over time this unit gets EXTREMELY HOT!! There is a warning label, but I think there should be multiple.

    • Nice portable pump
This is a nice portable pump that is of good value for the money. I have used it on several occasions through the winter months. No issues and fills tires easily. Not as quick as my larger full size compressor but quick enough given it stores in the trunk of my car very nicely. Fairly accurate gauge however I still sometimes check with a dedicated gauge just to make sure calibration of compressor gauge is reasonable.     • Good deal, with but two minor gotchas
This is a nice sturdy compressor. The sturdy hard case, complete with a tire plug kit, is a huge bonus. Do yourself a favor and toss a small tube of rubber cement in the case to make it easier to install a tire plug. I keep this in my camper, in case I ever get a flat at some remote location. I especially like the threaded fitting to connect the hose to the tire's valve stem. No hokey clamps or some funky quick-release, just a simple threaded chuck. If using this compressor on a regular basis, you might want a quicker method to attach it, but for occasional use it is very nice with zero leakage. You'll appreciate this if you've got a big tire to inflate. I ran into two minor problems, certainly not deal-breakers. 1) The gauge consistently read about 20psi low, compared to several other gauges I have. Not a huge deal, but I didn't catch this in time to exchange for another. 2) The socket of the battery terminal adapter is a bit lightweight, compared to the sturdiness of rest of the kit. The compressor can draw up to 20A, which is too much for most cigarette lighter sockets and will blow fuses. You're much better off just connecting directly to the battery. I modified my compressor by wiring the battery clamps directly (with an in-line fuse) instead of using the supplied adapter. Don't let these minor problems discourage you. This air compressor has performed flawlessly for 3 years. I have an SUV with large tires that requires a pump with power. It has save my tires numerous times. Never drive on a low tire, just invest in a great compressor pump like this one. This one manages fine, has never overheated, and stores brilliantly in the great case provided. There is real value here so I hope this pump is still available and can provide you with similar results. ... show more

    • Would not fill all of my RV tires
I used the inflator for the first time to fill my truck and RV tires. It filled my truck tires to 75 psi just fine. When I went to top off my four RV tires to the 110 psi they need, the inflator locked up on the fourth tire. It cost me about an 1 hour and half to fill the four tires. Previously when I used it on normal car tires (30 to 40 psi) it did a great job. However, for the bigger tires on my RV I don't recommend it. ... show more
