This is definitly not a mattress pad; but it has just enough padding to take the edge off. It looks like it is made well and is the perfect size. It came vacuum packed in a little cube and I was worried. I did not wash it but I did put it in the dryer air fluff for 10 minutes and it fluffed up must fine.
