    • It's a Grizzly
It works, but it is a Grizzly. It is not the best on the market but it's a bit better than what you get from Harbor Freight. I would recommend if you need one fast and will work, here you go.

    • Works great, a little big
Very nice unit, great price. The only downside is that it is very tall so it takes up valuable space but it holds parts very well and the precise adjustments come in very handy.

    • Not quite ready for use as received, needed a bit of rework.
The cross slides were loose and the machined surfaces were a bit rough as received. I disassembled the vice and stoned the machined surfaces, regreased, reassembled and then adjusted the gib screws. This seems to have solved the sloppiness in the cross slides. We will see.

    • A good value for the price.
Probably not a good choice for precision machining, but it works well for my purposes. Castings a bit rough. It was wobbly when received, but the gibs have adjusting screws and that tightened it up. There is still a bit of backlash in the screw mechanism , but I can compensate for that.

    • More side movement than I would have expected
After completely disassembling and cleaning off all the shipping grease, And finding almost a 3/4 of an inch lash in the screws that move the vice forward and back and left to right, I disassembled it again after marking the screw shafts on the inside before it backed off from the metal plate that holds it to the vice itself. I then took a dremel drill with a thin cutoff wheel and cut a groove in it to except a 3/8 inch e ring and thin washer. Reinstalled, Grizzly should have done this from the factory. Cost me 95 cent’s and a little time. So much better- hope this helps ... show more
