I cant speak about how good they would be for grilling but for using in the oven they are GREAT! Whenever I make pizza, I set the oven to 425 degrees and I can grab the pizza pan with no issue. Dont feel any heat/easy to grasp. You can really grab pans easily and dont have to worry about accidentally touching the food like it normally happens with regular oven gloves. They are a bit large for my hands but still functional and totally still beat grasping capabilities compared to regular oven gloves. 20/10 recommend. ... show more

These are just what we were looking for. Had a really old set from my grandparents and been looking for a replacement. These are perfect. I bought the large and the are snug on my hands but not real loose on the wife’s. Temp resistance is good, we use cast iron in the oven a lot. These work well and fit both mine and my husband's hands. He has much bigger hands than I. However, they are heat resistant, but not heat proof. If you hold the cookie sheet a little long, you'll start to feel the heat, enough that you want to let go.

1) Women's size is still a little large for me but I have very small hand. That being said, I can still use the glove efficiently without dropping whatever I am removing from the oven. 2) I read other reviews before purchasing (I was replacing a pair that had simply worn out) and noticed the complaint of the gloves not working if they got wet. Sorry, but my common sense says that is not the fault of the glove. Cloth oven mitts do the same thing and silicone mitts are clumsy to use. I know this to be true because I have gotten my other pair wet when dumping a pot of boiling pasta water and then tried to remove the item from the oven. Again, NOT the fault of the glove. 3) Cannot speak to the temperature it can withstand because I have only used it for my oven up to 500 degrees. 4) A suggestion: Can a smaller version be made for children? A lot of children are interested in cooking these days. ... show more
