I love these blackout curtains so much…the color, material, quality, etc. I had purchased a different set within the last 6 months but didn’t love the color and missed the return window. When I came across these, I decided to give them a try and I was not disappointed! The color and style is exactly the look I was going for so I ordered a second set for the other window. The ivory shade is nice and light with a natural looking weave to it…no gray tones and the bit of light brown flecks (as shown in the close up photo) do not make them look beige or tan. The lining is soft and drapes nicely, unlike some blackout curtains that are stiff due to the lining. They would look great using the hooks to make pinch pleats even though I chose to keep the hooks flat. They also are truly blackout. The only light filtering through is where the 2 panels meet in the middle and on the top/sides since I did not hang them on a rod with side returns. The curtains on the left side of the daytime photo are these while the right side is the “blackout” set I'm replacing. As you can see, the left are much more effective. I need to update curtains in another bedroom and think I will go for these again. ... show more

I got the 96" in Natural, and they're lovely. The photos make them look a lot darker than they are, but I do think they're a smidge darker in person than in the photo. Still, they keep the room nice and bright, and they go with everything. I used curtain hooks and attached them to the threaded loops on the back of each panel. Not sure if that was the intention for those, but that's what I used them for. I didn't measure things well at all, so I'll need to hem them at some point, but I'd rather have curtains that are too long than too short. They're nice and thick, which is obviously great for keeping out unwanted light, but I also love the energy-saving aspect. Our sliding door isn't bad about letting in cold or hot air, but it's also on the older side. Anything to help with draftiness is a welcome addition. ... show more

Blackout curtains can give off SUCH a heavy, dated feel but these are a great compromise between blocking light and still feeling elegant and elevated. 96" curtains can be hard to find; we could have gotten away with shorter ones but I like having them mounted high and draping on the floor a bit to give the room a greater sense of height. The color is neutral and versatile. They did arrive a bit wrinkled but a quick steam once hung got them taken care of. These replaced a thinner, satin-style off-white curtain set that was supposed to be "blackout" but actually cut hardly any light. I wouldn't consider these to be 100% blackout, but they provide substantially more darkening power than our previous set. Overall, I'm impressed! ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I had some transparent curtains in the front and my husband didn't like it because people could see inside (and of course, last thing you need is to give thieves an idea of what you do/don't own). I had a Lady Bug Miraculous flat sheet to cover the window. I have some linen colored curtains, though more of a see through curtains, and I didn't realize when I ordered that these were going to end up matching those. The curtains are on the "medium heavy" scale, I don't think a tension rod will hold them in place without bending; but they are not incredibly heavy either considering their length (I got 90in). A little stiff and they don't quite give you a lot of room to squeeze together; I think that has to do with the rod size (width) too. I would not even try the "back tabs", they are nothing but delicate threads and I don't know if they will really last long with all the weight of the curtain (specially long ones). Black out - I have no opinion on this, this ones I only needed to prevent outsiders from peeking inside and my living room has plenty of light coming in from other sources so I won't even be able to tell the difference. The curtains do have a smell out of the bag so you might need to air them out or wash them. ... show more

I needed a light colored but room darkening pair of curtains for my bedroom. I had only ever seen these types of curtains in dark or unattractive colors. Finally a nice bright white and linen to boot. There is a lining of heavy material which will be great in muffling street sounds somewhat, blocking drafts, and of course the light at night. The material seems well made and as mentioned in the headline they are heavy. I gave them a wash and was surprised at how quickly they dried on my clothes rack indoors (I don't have a dryer). I am glad to have gotten these curtains. They will be very useful for all seasons. ... show more

They definitely are light blocking and work well when the sun is bright outside and guests need to rest or watch tv and don't want the intrusion of bright sunlight. Yes, these curtains were blackout curtains due to the plastic backing. But I returned them because I was looking for a curtain with a Linen-like front fabric (or even anything that felt like actual fabric). I don’t know how these curtains got such great reviews. These are so plasticy on the front side that to me it felt like a vinyl shower curtain. They don’t hang nicely even with pleat hooks because, well, they are like a hard plasticy sheet. They also smelled like chemicals and would definitely get messed up in the washer due to being so heavy on the plastic. The description was pretty misleading to me. ... show more
