  • Love it
This is replacing the Greenworks 19" cordless. It is quite a bit heavier, noisier and harder to maneuver for cutting in and doing corners. That said, on the straight cuts, it's brilliant. I have no problem with the self-propel bar except to remember to let go before it takes me into the street. The battery for me is much easier to take out than the nineteen inch. It comes straight up, and if needed two hands can be used. The other had a horizontal extraction on an angle which was difficult for only one old hand to grip and pull out just the right way. It is a powerful machine, and it will use a lot of power. The battery given will not last the complete cut for me with a small yard even if it is a 5.0 AH. I think most people will need a second battery. With two cordless mowers, a cordless blower vac and a cordless snow blower, Greenworks has yet to disappoint me. ... show more

  • Best Mower!
I bought this because it is self-propelled and battery powered. My yard has lots of angles and turns. I have used this new one now several times and being self-propelled has shorted my cutting time from 1 hour to 20 minutes. And the best part is I am not exhausted when the mowing chore is finished. I am older and still enjoy doing my own yard work. This uses no gasoline, has a push-bottom start, does a beautiful job on my lawn, and the battery re-charge takes about 45 minutes. The battery storage is in the top lid of the mower- very convenient and safe. Great product! ... show more

  • Great lawn mower; Disappointing battery
I have been using this lawn mower for about 10 months now. First things first: This is a great lawn mower. Quiet, powerful, sturdy. Switching from a gas mower, the convenience of cordless lawn mower is amazing. I can never go back to gas mowers now. The battery sucks ! The first time I used the lawn mower, it lasted for 50 minutes. Now, it barely lasts for 22 minutes for the same kind of operation. The reduction in battery life has been gradual making me think that it is going to further reduce soon to the point of being useless. That is really sad. ... show more

  • Ok cutting, marginal battery, great on hills
I purchased this for $314 with 5A battery and charger. So for this price it was a better deal than most. I bought it because I have a fairly steep hill in front of my house (50x 100 lot). I used a self propelled gas mower, but it is very heavy, and a slip convinced me, enough is enough. First, the weight. It is not 21lbs. as stated in the description, it is more like 70lbs. That being said, it is lighter, by far, than my other mower. The self propelling drive, with a large rear wheel, actually propelled this mower up the hill will 10% the effort. Second, the mower absolutely does not have the power of a gas mower (cutting). Unlike, an EV car, where you have pure starting torque right away, this like all electric mowers, needs to speed up to full tip speed, then it will cut, just ok. Don't expect very high grass, but it did cut my Zoysia grass at 4". I expected the speed up, since every electric mower I have used did this, but was hoping for full torque right way. It will bog down, when you reach the top of the hill. I have the cutting depth at 3 setting with 4 being the highest. Third, battery life is marginal. I made sure to only use the self-drive on the hill, and pushed it mostly on the flats. It made it through, but was nearly dead. It wouldn't let me charge it for an hour, cooling down. Forget using the charger in a hot garage (outside 90F). It just stops charging. Some people put the charger and battery in the fridge to cool it down. A freezer may lead to internal condensation on a hot day, so I'd wouldn't do that. Other chargers use a fan, this charger is passive cooled (cheap). Overall, it is good for $314. At $500, I'd probably want to return it, but it did work well on a hill....so it's a compromise. If the main cutting motor was as good as the rear wheel drive it would be well worth $500. It is difficult to make high torque and high RPM mowers, economical and battery efficient. (i'm a nerd, gas mowers are overall better) ... show more

  • Lawn mowing was never so easy
I purchased this mower during Prime days. Although I have a lawn man, my front yard needs an in-between mow. I decided to purchase an inexpensive electric mower to save the extra mowing charge. No smelly or messy gas can involved. I was definitely pleased when the lawn mower arrived. It was easy to assemble. The battery charge is more than I need for the front yard. It is light weight. It easily propels itself through my St Augustine sod. I am 80 yrs old. So that says a greatdeal about this lawnmower from a woman who does not like yardwork. ... show more

  • What a great machine!
I used this machine today for the first time and cannot believe how nice it is to operate. Plenty of power, smooth operation, and the self-propel is really excellent. I can't say enough good things about this mower. It's super quiet which means you can cut the lawn at any time of the day or night without disturbing the neighbors. It folds up nice and is easily stored. ... show more
