  • Quite solidly built and fast action, long staples deform
Style: Crown Stapler w/2.0Ah
I have a couple pneumatic, battery powered, and spring powered staple/nail guns. The Greenworks is solid in quality for such a tiny unit and is pretty much a beefed up version of my small spring stapler because of its portability. The others are bulkier so it's a bit tedious to take out, but this I can just pull out and use in a jiffy. There is no case, so either you can keep it in the box or get something else to carry it with. The single battery lasts a good amount of time. I can pump out a couple hundred staples, probably at least a thousand before the battery even shows 1 bar out of 3 depleted. It includes a couple stacks of staples and nails. I think the staples are roughly 3/8", definitely shorter than Arrow T50 1/2". The magazine is a bit short as it can only fit one and a half stack of staples at a time, so you do have to often reload. The shorter staples work better as longer staples either don't drive in all the way or they kind of bend oddly when driven in. In the pictures I show the T50 1/2" in 2 by 6 pine. The end grain is easy and it drives straight in no problem but along the edges, it sticks out a bit. You can adjust the impact strength with the twist dial and the handy indicator on top. It does drive out with more force, but with longer staples it seems to just crush the excess and deform the bit sticking out rather than shoot with more strength so it drives in flat. I think it's an issue with the hammer head as there is an indent in the middle of the deformed staples. You can kind of tell the progression in impact strength along the row of staples in my picture. If you use less than 1/2" T50's this little stapler is a great tool. I did quite a few raised beds with weed cloth and plastic using this stapler. ... show more

  • Perfect for Home Projects
Style: Crown Stapler w/2.0Ah
My Arrow T-50 stapler has been a part of my ever-evolving tool box for a long time. My particular unit was purchased in the 1980s and is sure to outlive me, but for all its legendary durability and reliability, it can become a mild, but literal pain to use during longer projects. I've been pleased with the performance of my Greenworks lawn and garden tools over the last few years, so the brand's electric stapler caught my attention on Amazon Vine. I've never had the pleasure of using an electric stapler before, but acclimating to it was easy (I particularly like having a depth adjustment knob). Having spent so much time with my T-50, the biggest challenge (if you can even call it that), was learning where to aim the Greenworks to place the staples precisely where I want them. An estimated 5 to 7 brave staples gave their lives for me to figure it out, and I thank them for their sacrifice. Among other smaller tasks, I've used the Greenworks stapler to reassemble the upholstery on a couch. It worked great, and I got through the project without the eventual hand fatigue that usually comes with using the T-50 for extended periods. I've never drained the battery in a single use, and quite frankly, I don't think I'll ever have a project complicated enough to even come close to doing so. I don't think the Greenworks will handle accidental drops as well as the all-metal T-50, but its build quality appears to be very good nonetheless. The only real problem I have with it is minor, and relates to the screw provided to attach the belt clip, which is too short to accommodate the thickness of the clip and the small air gap the clip leaves between itself and the stapler body; this results in very little thread engagement, to the point that I stripped the end of mine during installation and had to source a longer one from my stash of miscellaneous fasteners (be very careful when installing yours). It is obvious that Greenworks chose the maximum screw length possible that would not interfere with the battery compartment if installed without the clip (because as we all know, consumers must be saved from themselves). In the attached pictures, the black screw is the original, and the silver one with the spacer is my replacement (I'll find a more suitable length at some point). Ultimately, that screw is the only thing I can complain about, so I'm happy to add this Greenworks stapler to my tool collection. May it live as long as my T-50. ... show more

  • Your wife might take it if she knows how useful it is. Watch your tools!!!
Style: Crown Stapler w/2.0Ah
One of the biggest things is you dont mess with a mans tools. If you borrow a toll make sure it is always clean and returned. If you borrow it 3 times then you need to get your own. I sleep all day then work all night. I have not used this yet because not alot of time but when I am not home guess who is using my tools? thats right my wife. Guess thats ok then. She does return the tools mostly. Sometimes I find them in the garden for pulling weeds. Really!!? A few nights I come home and this stapler is not in its spot I put it in. Then to find out there are staples in it and I have not loaded any in the thing. Whenever I ask my wife about anything the answer is always I dont know what your talking about and I never see that. I dont ask questions because I know what the answer is so I have to wait and see whats happening. I sat up a cam to watch my tools and guess who went and grabbed it? Thats right she did. so then I showed her the vid and she said OH that? She was using it in the shed to staple things on the wall so it did not look so bad. She said that the Smile that is on the back of the tool is what she always remembered about it. Being puzzled I had to look at what she was talking about then I saw it too. The dial on the back for more Torque or less looks like a face smiling. She really likes this one because the other one we have works your hand mussles bad where this is a trigger. On top of that it doesn't weigh much for her. I dont mind she uses it so I told her to just plug the battery in so there is always a charge on it. I am glad that she does put it back. This could have gone sideways if I just yelled at her but didnt. I can really tell that she likes this tool so I am going to make it easier for her to get to. I really hope that you can get alot of use from this tool just like my wife does. Good Luck keeping things in place with a staple. ... show more
