I wanted a TV stand for my 36" television so that I could move it around in my carpeted basement. Originally, I was planning to get a stand with wheels, but I am SO glad I got this one instead. The wood base is very stable and has a smooth bottom that (by pushing in the right place) can slide around on my carpeted floor, and is much more stable and easy-to-move on carpet than anything with wheels would have been. It does come with some rubber feet that you can attach to the bottom of the wood base to keep it from slipping/scraping across hard floors, but I much prefer the smooth bottom. I didn't know I needed the built-in power strip with USB ports (5v 2a), but I love it. It is so easy to plug in another device, such as a NES or SNES classic mini gaming console that uses USB-A for power. It gives you a lot more flexbility than trying to stretch all your cables back to the same power strip. It was easy enough to put together, and I had no problems following the instructions as written. It did take some time to complete, but I enjoy building things when they fit together just right, and I didn't have any problems in the process. I plan on using this pretty close to my couch, so I attached my TV at the lowest possible setting with everything attached properly, which you can see in the final picture. It would be possible to lower the screen by another 6 inches or so, if you unscrewed the bolts holding the top piece into the base and allowed it to just sit inside the base without being attached. It would still be very stable that way, but you could lift the top off the base freely, so I didn't want to try it. After putting it together, TV's height is firmly fixed and won't change without me adjusting it manually with a screwdriver, but the TV does freely tilt left and right to change the viewing angle. While I appreciate the ability to adjust the left/right angle, I wish there was a way to fix it in the "straight forward" position. I just have to check whenever I move the TV and make sure it is still facing forward properly. The only real downside is that the TV stand does not allow for any movement on the tilt forward (pointing toward the floor) or backward (pointing toward the ceiling) axis. It just faces directly forward with a very slight tilt. Even though you can't adjust the forward tilt after the TV is attached, you can use spacers on the back of the TV to change the angle very slightly during install. I'm happy with the default tilt of the screen, so this wasn't a problem for me. Overall, I am extremely happy with this order. The quality is excellent, and it is exactly what I needed for my TV.     • Great Option for a Large Flat Screen
I ordered this stand to re-deploy a 65-inch smart TV that I've had wall mounted for a year after finding that method unsatisfactory; access to its back panel and its ports turned out to be inconvenient, effectively closing off many of the features of this device. This tall stand has been a great alternative. Although I'm not especially handy assembly was straight-forward with clear instructions and tools that are either included or requiring items that virtually anybody is likely to have at home. Securing the TV on the mounting brackets was similarly uncomplicated, something I really appreciated given my limited experience with such things and the concern that I do it properly so that it wouldn't come down. This mounting system is very stable and strong providing peace of mind that my pricy TV will remain secure and safe on it. A feature that really appeals to me about this stand is that it's sleeker and less bulky than similar ones I've seen. It integrates into my existing home décor which leans heavily toward modern/contemporary/low-profiles styles. This is particularly attractive in an item like this that would otherwise impose itself on a space. The swivel feature, the adjustable height and the design that allows you to hide much of the wire-work from your TV and related devices is a major improvement over the wall-mounted system I had that left all kinds of ugly exposed wires that I spend the last year trying to figure out how to disguise or a least minimize -- with minimal success. The result has been a cleaner, more attractive space where I've set up the TV on this stand. My only regret is that I didn't come across this stand a year ago when I first got my expensive TV, and before I did damage to my wall putting it there first.     • Elevate your TV - even when you don't want to mount it to the wall.
Elevating your TV higher up (off the entertainment center/console/etc.), really helps with viewing angles and creating a solid viewing experience. Usually, that means mounting the TV on the wall, with the attendant trouble finding a good spot to mount it. And forget about it if you're in a rental home/apartment or are pressed for wall space - unless your landlord is ok with significant holes in the wall for the bolts needed to mount a large TV directly to the studs, you're out of luck. So what are you supposed to do in those cases where you can't put holes in the wall? Enter this free-standing TV mount - which has the ability to mount the TV higher than usual without any holes in the wall. And that's a big win indeed! It's very sturdy and easy to both build the stand and mount your TV. You can do it by yourself, though depending on the size of the TV you intend to mount, you make need help with lifting it/placing on the stand. I was able to do it myself, but I have mounted a number of TVs (including this particular one) on various mounts before. The base is sturdy and heavy, and so will keep the TV stable (though you do want to keep little ones away from it, as it could be knocked over if one were to try hard enough). So if you're in the market for a way to mount your TV a bit higher (or in a place where you don't have room to set it down) but you don't want to (or can't) put holes in the wall, give this one a look! ... show more
