Received the larger 8-10" Java Fern. Arrived looking very healthy. Let it soak a few hours in a container of RO water, and then put it in my beta's 1.5 gallon tank. It is almost too tall for his little tank, so the tops of the leaves are gently floating on the top of the water. There is good light and filtration for this tank, so we'll see how it does. There also is algae in the tank, so it'll be interesting to see if it helps with that. ... show more

I got this for my Top Fin 5 gallon glass tank. It arrived quickly and looks very healthy. It was much larger than I expected so it's the focal feature in the tank. I also have 2 of the petite plants on black lava rock. I have had these plants for almost 2 weeks I think and are doing very well. I did not have snails their eggs or any things else on the plants either. I am definitely happy with my purchase. I think these plants a great for small tanks. ... show more

Better than expected. My plant was very mature. Top quality in products. The size was bigger. The plant was larger. The plant was super healthy. My fish got so excited. Nice looking plant. Kinda small for $30 however... but my pleco loves it.. 1st day I out it in before work came home and took these pictures.. didn't take him long to figure out what it was and that he liked it. Cant wait to get more live plants greenpro seems like a good company, it arrived on time and in tact they even emailed me a follow up to make sure I liked it. Wish it was a little bigger or cheaper but all in all I'm satisfied and so are my fish. ... show more

Plant was packaged well and arrived in great shape and very healthy. Over 2 months later the plant is still attached to driftwood and is growing like a weed! This fern immediately transformed my tank and my fish and snails love it. I’ve searched for plants online and purchased from 2 other companies. Nice sized plant and driftwood is a great size for a 15 gallon Fluval. Packaged good and shipped fast. I thought I rinsed it off really well but unfortunately I spotted a snail in the tank and my neon tetras all got sick soon after. Looks good but I wish I hadn’t gotten this.

The media could not be loaded. ETA: Greenpro customer service is excellent. I received a quick refund for this item because it did not work for me, so I've upped my original stars from 1->3. I still wouldn't recommend this particular item, but I wouldn't hesitate to order from greenpro at all. My anubias nana on lava is beautiful, and my friends' orders from them have all been healthy on arrival and stayed that way. I always wait to post reviews of items, and this is a perfect example of why. My java fern on driftwood arrived looking beautifully healthy attached to a piece of nice driftwood. It was well packaged, arrived on time, and I put it in my nano tank. I got a lot of compliments, it really did look beautiful. That was in mid-July. Unfortunately, since then I've experienced increasing leaf loss from the fern, getting to the point where I couldn't clean the tank without major leaf loss. And today upon removing the driftwood, all of the leaves just pulled out of the driftwood. I didn't know much about aquatic plants when I bought this, other than that java fern were supposed to be hardy and amenable to low light. I subsequently learned about rhizome plants, and their need for the rhizome not to be buried - otherwise it rots. The rhizome is the "base" for all of the leaves, so it makes sense that if the rhizome rots, all of the leaves fall off. So, with added experience, I now know that this product, with the fern embedded in a drilled hole in driftwood, is doomed to fail. I'm extremely dissappointed that greenpro markets this, given that they surely know this will eventually happen, just months after sale. My anubias attached to lava rock is still attractive and healthy. But my distaste over the fern will keep me from trusting them in the future. I hate it when retailers sell you something they know isn't going to last, especially when it's a living thing. I've attached pictures of the the leaves that just fell out and the driftwood with a drilled hole. You can see the rotting from the bottom of the leaves, and the unhealthy stems. I've also included a picture of my tank on initial receipt, just to show you how deceptive initial health can be. ... show more

I was just starting a 46 gallon aquarium with cichlids as a center piece. I received these plants in wonderful condition and planted them. That was about a month or more ago. Theses plants are still beautiful and growing. They really set off the entire aquarium in a wonderful way.
