I got these for my tarantula slings to use in their tiny enclosures. I was expecting 3-4", as they are advertised to be, but they're incredibly small. They are, however, very sturdy and still work as needed. I use these to help stabilize fake and real plants in their enclosures as well as for climbing and webbing points. They work for that purpose. I don't recommend them for slings larger than 1" DSL as they are very thin and I'd worry about a larger tarantula potentially harming themselves with as pointed as some of the edges are, if they fall on them. ... show more

I ordered the 3.15”-4 and they look super good in my 20gallon goldfish tank! They are small but they add the perfect look to my tank! I did boil them for about and hour and than let them sit overnight and so far so good with no discoloration!

So, we decided to give our fish tank a makeover, and this little guy arrived just in time. Now, here's a pro tip: read the instructions before tossing anything into the water. My hubby, being the impatient type, just threw them straight in. For two days, they floated around like confused astronauts before finally settling on the bottom. But wait, there's more! After a while, some kind of white web started growing from the sticks. Turns out, they were supposed to be boiled first. Oops! Despite our little misadventure, the water stayed clear and the fish are all alive and well. If you want to avoid any drama, follow the instructions. But hey, we actually love how it turned out! The sticks are sturdy, super light, and really bring out the overall theme of the tank. Will we buy it again? Absolutely. But next time, we'll read the manual first. I am reviewing the Vmiapxo 8 Pack Natural Driftwood for Aquarium, Aquarium Decor Spider Wood, 4"-6" pack of 8. I purchased these in July 2022 for my 37 gallon and 20 gallon tropical freshwater aquariums to tie down some plants. These pieces of Spider wood are exactly as described. They all measure at least 4"-6" and work beautifully in smaller aquariums. Granted, these would look silly in my 75 gallon aquarium, but I didn't plan to use them there. I really like that these pieces of wood have so many "legs", it really gives each piece some character. Also, the many nooks and crannies made tying my plants to them with fishing line much easier than trying to tie the plants to rocks. I did soak them for several days to leach out some of the tannins, then boiled them for about an hour or so to kill off any potential contaminants. Some of the wood has grown a thin coat of algae, but so has my glass and the artificial plants. I simply wipe it off as needed when I clean my aquariums. If you have a smaller aquarium and want a few pieces of wood to add character or secure plants, I would recommend these. The price is good. When I purchased them, I paid $15.83 and as of the time of this review 02/21/2023, they are selling for $16.95. Given the current rates of inflation, I would say an increase of $1.12 isn't bad. I added pictures with measurements, as well as pictures of the pieces in my aquariums. I have the Spider wood in with my Peacock Cichlids. They like to rearrange their tanks, so this helps keep the plants from getting destroyed. I hope this review helps and happy shopping. ... show more
