  • Very neat!
Pattern Name: Anubias Barteri Butterfly
This is a beautiful, strong, and healthy plant. I am very happy with it.

  • A Nice Little Tank Addition
Pattern Name: Anubias Petite Lava Stone
What pretty plants! I ordered two. They are admittedly a bit smaller than I expected (see photos—I have small hands so they’re a bit less than palm size on most people). However, both plants are bright green and healthy, with roots already creeping over the lava rocks. I have found no snails or other hitchhikers. There may be some hidden but it seems unlikely. They arrived four days ahead of the earliest expected delivery date (on Christmas Eve no less, busiest time of the year for package deliveries) so I know they were shipped promptly. Came in two small plastic bags in a padded box. They also came with a care sheet with info on filtration, substrates, fertilizers, etc—a nice touch. They were delivered bright and healthy; if they die, it’ll probably be my fault (I’m new at this!). Overall I am very pleased and would highly recommend. UPDATE 9/13/19: Both plants are still alive, very green, and growing! One of them has lost a single leaf in the last few months—other than that, NO die-off and they’ve both grown noticeably in the 9 months since I bought them. Highly recommended!! ... show more

  • Rotted and foul smelling after a week.
Pattern Name: Anubias Nana 10+ Leaf Rooted
I have a couple freshwater tanks that I keep, one for my betta fish and one just for plants. I have been growing plants of all kinds successfully for some time now, so I have a decent grasp on what I'm doing. I have other anubias and they are very easy to care for and are also on drift wood so I thought this was a great purchase even if it is a bit expensive. When it arrived it had a few leaves that looked kinda sad but overall it looked okay but within a few days weird stringy white mold started growing all over the roots of the plants and the log. The leaves started turning brown and bright yellow, but it still had some good leaves so I tried to clean it off and let it grow but today (a little over a week later) I finally had to take it out for fear of it affecting my tank. When I took it out of my tank it was SO rotted and foul smelling that I had to put it in a bag and take it outside immediately. I'm not sure what went wrong with this plant, but none of my other tank plants are affected or growing that mold or doing poorly at all. I'm really pissed I spent so much money on this just for it to rot and die and not even be able to get a refund or replacement. Not buying from this company again. ... show more

  • Just watch out for snails!
Product came fast, but honestly could've been packed up a little better IMO. It was bagged, and at one point I'm sure it was in a thermal envelope, but no other packing materials were in the "flat rate" USPS Box so there was a lot of banging around the box during shipping and the plant bag was out of the thermal envelope when I opened the bag. Probably should have had at least one or two air pack bubbles in there or something. As soon as I pulled the bag containing my Plant/Wood out of the box, you could see 2 snails in the bag. They weren't on my plant, so not a big deal. Made an alum bath for the plant and let it soak for about 15 minutes so all the loose bits and remaining snails, if any, would die. Pulled the plant, gave it a rinse and put it in my tank, yet somehow, 2 more snails appeared after some time. My Betta (Lazlo) made short work of them though. I understand how hard it is to NOT have travelers when dealing with aquatic plants, but if you're going to say you guarantee no disease, algae or pest snails...then there shouldn't be any, otherwise change the wording to "We strive/try our absolute best to ensure...." or something along those lines. All that being said, my plant was healthy and alive and is doing well in Lazlo's tank until it gets transfered into my shrimp tank I'm making. I'm very happy with it and despite the snails, I would purchase from this seller again. ... show more

  • Arrivarrived decent but melted
Pattern Name: Anubias Petite Lava Stone
The media could not be loaded. Arrived and looked decent, but melted inexplicably over several weeks despite consistent water parameters. Slightly disappointed.

  • Very nice!!!
Pattern Name: Anubias Barteri Butterfly
I'm usually very skeptical of buying live plants online, and at $23.99 I wasn't sure about this. I am very happy I took the risk! I'm sorry I didn't snap a photo before placing it into the tank, but here's what I received; That piece of driftwood is about four inches long, and they drilled a hole through it. Into that hole they planted the Anubias. While I don't know whether or not that has any advantage/disadvantage to gluing or tying the plant to the wood, the plant is doing quite well. The plant itself is about three inches high and covers and area of about four by six inches. I had to trim a few leaves before I placed it...one due to having a broken stem, the others due to having some curling and darkening of the leaves. The remainder of the plant's leaves were without yellowing, browning, or curling/pitting. BONUS!!! Coming down the piece of driftwood is a runner that has roots starting to grow off of the runner! So, if I can keep the conditions right (lighting/ferts/water), I should start to see more foilage. ... show more
