  • Buy it, you wont regret it
This machine is awesome, I painted the exterior of my home and garage quickly. I dont think it was designed for such a big job but it worked great for me. I hate painting but this sprayer makes it kind of fun. A few tips that helped me , if the sprayer keeps sputtering and wont spray check the filter screen, its clogged with paint film. What I started doing was wiping it with my finger at each refill. Another thing is if it is spraying fine but you can see big droplets on the surface you're painting check the blue tip shield. Paint builds up after a little and blocks the spray pattern which causes those paint globs. Also I noticed that after cleaning it some water remains in the sprayer so when you go to use it again that little bit of water thins out the paint which cause air to get back in to the cup a little easier and it will drive you crazy. It will work normal again after that little bit of water gets flushed out while painting. What I started doing was tapping the trigger on the sprayer a few times to try and pump out as much water as possible before attaching the cup of paint. The most important thing is cleaning the gun. I didnt want dried up paint clogging up the pump so what I would do is turn the sprayer upside down and pour water from my water hose directly into the inlet of the sprayer and pull the trigger until the water came out clear. I would do that on both spray and prime settings. Using a tooth brush to clean all the little attachments helps a lot. I'm done spraying my house and the sprayer is still working great, I'm not sure if its because the care I take in to cleaning it but I'm sure that's helping. I bought a good quality exterior paint from HD that has a primer already mixed in so it was pretty thick and I sprayed it with the pressure setting at 3 1/2 and that worked great, no need to thin down. I would say the one and only downside to this sprayer is the small 32oz cup. I had to stop and refill a lot!! So a bigger cup would be nice but the sprayer made the job so much easier it wasnt to big of a deal. ... show more

  • Works great
Cleanup is a little bit of a pain, but all in all it does a great job and is much quicker and cleaner looking than hand brushing.

  • Thank God!
A spray painter that works the way it's supposed to. No fuss no muss, cleans easy, totally adjustable. AWESOME!

  • Handy but not as represented!
Tried it right out the box for testing purposes. Filtered my latex paint twice, flushed the testing liquid that they use at the factory and started spraying. It sprayed great for about 45 seconds! Then clogged constantly. Constantly lost prime and took about 25 minutes to completely flush and clean the gun after that. You would be much better off just rolling on the paint or getting a cheaper and more reliable, corded sprayer. This unit is simply not worth it. ... show more

  • Awesome and EASY!
I’ve tried a few different compressor-based HVLP guns in the $20-$1000 price range, and for various reasons they just never quite did it for me to continue use using them. When I was on the hunt for a pro-level HVLP, I remembered about the Graco Cordless unit, and I’m ALL ABOUT THE CORDLESS. Poured through reviews and videos with pros and cons and decided to give t a shot before I spent twice and much (or more) on a turbine HVLP. After spraying 3 different tables so far, I have zero regrets! Is this gun going to replace an HVLP for really fine finishes? Maybe not. BUT - to me, the simplicity is absolutely game changing. Box to first paint job in 5 minutes and it came out great! Sprayed primers and Alkyd Enamels with the included 514 tip without thinning (just adjust the speed knob at the back), and am really very pleased! After a few uses and getting comfortable with the gun movement vs. gun speed setting, I kept getting better and better finishes! So far I’ve used this on furntiture but I love that I can use it for a variety of other things like wall paints, clear coats and and primers without having to worry much at all out mixing and thinning. For me, I would say the only real cons are that it pumps out a fair bit of paint, and that it’s a tad heavy. After a few minutes though, I got used to the weight and didn’t even notice, and I suspect further practice and tip experimentation might help (but not totally eliminate) the paint consumption. All in all, I’m super thrilled! In my continuing quest to get better at spraying I might still buy that Turbine system one day, but the ease of use of this gun and the finishes I’m getting really make me wonder if I’ll ever have a need. ... show more

  • Freedom from the hose!
This sprayer has been a great investment. If you keep the insides clean and well maintained, this sprayer will continue to work well. The battery life lasts about an hour, which coincidentally is about a gallon of paint. I do have a battery on charging rotation just in case.
