Fob is very sturdy with rubber button cover and rugged shell and key ring loop. We have a Chamberlain opener which paired immediately with this fob. Our opener instructions direct you to press the "learn" button and let off immediately, then press the part of the fob button you wish to use for the door opener.     • Annoying to program but it works!
First off, the instructions are mediocre. I have a Chamberlain B6713T garage door opener which has the MyQ smart feature. Do this to get it programmed..start with the garage door closed and garage door opener light off 1. Hold down the bottom on the remote for 15-20 seconds until the remote LED stays lit solid. Some people say the LED is blue, but in my case the LED is orange even after changing the battery. 2. Press the learn button on the indoor wall garage key pad twice. Lift up the cover and you will see it. 3. Next, choose a button on the remote and press it twice. The remote LED will start blinking rapidly 4. The light on the garage door opener will eventually blink once. Dont do anything and continue to wait. You may end up waiting 20 seconds or so and then the garage door will open 5. Press that same button on the remote to finish programming I choose to not keep a garage door transmitter in the car or take advantage of the garage door keypads in newer cars. Someone can easily break into your car and use the transmitter or the keypad in the car to open your garage door. So having this remote on my keychain is perfect ... show more

    • A Must-Have for Garage Doors
I have purchased this remote several times, four in fact. Our Chamberlain garage door has the MyQ smart feature and we use it, but the simplicity and reliability of this remote simply makes sense. There’s no WiFi to rely on, and the range is amazing. I live in a row house and I can be on my bicycle or in my car halfway down my block before I get to my driveway, and the remote works! Battery Life and Replacement Changing the CR2032 battery can feel like you’re going to break it, but I’ve only had to do it once after nearly 3 years of using it. Reliability There are other brands out there, but stick to the original. It works and is very reliable. Setup Note: My garage door opener has the yellow learn button. It’s pretty easy to set up with this feature. I don’t know how easy it is with other brands or models with more than just the single learn button. ... show more

This thing is so awesome. My son is 17 and got him a car and was nervous to have the standard garage door opener placed in his car sun visor, you know... in case he left his car doors unlocked or to have someone break into his car and take it to have access to our home, so I got this gadget instead. It's awesome! It really does work and never has issues with it. He never misplaces his keys, so this was the better option along with all the other pros.     • Only Worked for 9 months…..
This is the second MC100 remote that I have purchased. It worked for 9 months and stopped working. Changed the battery and it works for 1-2 garage door opening cycles and then stops. Changed battery again, works for 1-2 garage door opening cycle and stops. Looks nicer than my old one but Stopped using this one and went back to my first one which is 5 years old and works great. Only upkeep is changing the battery. I really Like the remote, it is small and has nice ergonomics and fits on my key chain for my cars that do not have built in remote openers.
