Directions: Apply double sided adhesive tape to back of object vertically, allowing for even distribution of weight. Avoid touching surface of tape. Note: Apply 2” of 2 sided tape per 1lb of weight. Cut tape and press to secure tape to object. Remove clear liner and align object to desired placement. Press firmly, as Gorilla Heavy Duty Mounting Tape conforms to the surface and creates a strong, permanent bond. This really works well. I found that if you stick a piece on brick, peel it off, use the other side of the mounting tape, stick on the brick, peel it off, then place your piece you will use. It will stick to the brick better. Be sure you clean and completely dry any surface you own on using. It had lasted through rain and extreme heat. So I have always liked Gorilla products, a bit expensive but usually worth it. I bought this tape to hold up some outdoor lights. I used some good sturdy plastic hooks, about 1" long by 3/4" tall, covered the entire back of the hook with the tape and had 1 hook about every 1.5 lights. Thinking it was complete overkill but wanted to make sure they would stay up 1 because I didn't want to have to redo it, and 2, I was doing it for a neighbor of my moms and didn't want her to have to worry about it. Well apparently Weatherproof does not apply to 110 degree Vegas heat. They lasted about 2 days before they started falling. So I guess I get to get back up on that ladder with a drill and some screws to make sure I don't ever have to worry about it again. I am sure I will end up buying a Gorilla product again sometime, but hopefully anyone thinking about using this product in this type of heat will read this and decide on a different route. ... show more

    • Better than Scotch 3M, holding garage door keypad on concrete wall

I'd been using 3M Scotch outdoor mounting tape for years and have always been pleased with it. My uses for it have typically been on smooth surfaces and it's worked just fine. Recently, I needed to mount a garage door keypad on a concrete wall. The 3M tape would just not work. The wall is concrete and is a bit rough. It's not smooth like a concrete garage floor, but it's not as textured as brick. The 3M tape would hold the keypad up for a day or two, then I'd come home to find it laying on the ground. I didn't want to drill into the concrete wall to screw mount it, so I gave this Gorilla Tape a try. It's been several months now, and it's still holding strong. The keypad we have requires you to slide the cover up in order to access the buttons. When I had it mounted with the 3M tape, you could feel the unit wiggle as you slid the cover up. With this Gorilla Tape, there is no wiggle at all. Holding onto the sides of the keypad, I can't even purposefully wiggle it when I try to. I have a feeling if or when I ever want to take it down, I'll have problems doing so. I'd much rather have that to deal with, than finding the keypad on the ground because the mounting tape had failed. Fantastic tape. ... show more

I was very surprised and very disappointed because other Gorilla products are excellent. I will never buy this again. Totally amazed how bad a Gorilla product can produce. There products are usually great but this product SUCKS! Buy a different product.

So... I bought two rolls because I've been into DIY projects. My most recent was a peg board for my coffee mugs to free up some kitchen space. I followed all of the directions... too well. I plastered a whole roll (which truly didn't seem like that much, as my peg board was 20" by 48") onto it vertically since they don't recommend you place it on horizontally. What ensued was a disaster. I proudly hung up my peg board in my kitchen only to realize I forgot a very important step in the process. Okay, my bad. It had only graced the wall with its presence for approximately 5 minutes before I decided to take it off. Friends, it took my wall off. I peeled back the board and heard rips and cracks and tears and was horrified because I thought it was my project. Nope, just the kitchen wall in the apartment I rent. It ripped off the paint and drywall, all the way down to a third gray layer. I've attached horrific images of my wall after I plastered it back to life, as well as the nightmare left on my pegboard (aka chunks of wall). So... use at your own risk? Kind of want to give it 10 stars kind of want to give it 0 since it's NOT EASY TO REMOVE! ... show more

I purchased this glue to secure a doorbell video camera to a brick house. I did not have a drill that could drill through brick and door frame was not wide enough. I secured the base to the house first for 2 days before clipping on the doorbell to the base. I've pulled on the device several time to test the hold and no budging.
