    • Motor, aluminum casting, design - craptastic!
Amazon, please bring back the LawnMaster FD1501! This wood chipper sucks in comparison. First up, this wood chipper has two separate cutting blades that are attached with two allen wrench screws for each blade. That sucks compared to the LawnMaster FD1501, because when you need to sharpen your blades, you have to remove FOUR allen wrench screws, whereas FD1501 only required removing ONE and the single piece blade would be immediately removable for resharpening. But that's not bad enough, because this chipper doesn't have any simple way of locking the wheel position, so it's very easy to slip and cut yourself while trying to hold the wheel and loosen those allen wrench screws at the same time. FD1501 had a nice hole that you could just jam a screwdriver into and it would lock the wheel, making it a snap to unbolt the blade. The next big problem is the motor is not anywhere near as powerful as the FD1501. I have to manually strip all the side branches off before I can run them through this chipper, and even then, this chipper really starts bogging down fast on anything approaching 1/2" thickness. FD1501 would've ripped through that like butter (when the blade is sharp). Internally, there is a cast aluminum plate that the sticks press against while they're getting chipped. That aluminum plate casting is very thin and poorly done on this chipper, in my opinion. This wood chipper is probably made by the same group that produced the old Harbor Freight electric wood chipper, as it seems to have a lot of design similiarities under the hood. The aluminum casting cracked and broke on my old Harbor Freight chipper, and I bet this one will do it too. The aluminum casting on the FD1501 was slightly thicker, and it never broke. Why does this one cheap out with such thin casting? If I could find an FD1501 for sale, I'd buy it in a heartbeat because this chipper shredder feels like an easily breakable toy in comparison. ... show more

    • Compact & Convenient Chipper!!!
I needed a wood chipper that was compact & not cumbersome! This wood chipper is an excellent chipper for the size. I wanted a wood chipper that was not too big...this is perfect for my needs! Most of the ones I have seen have been way too large and extremely expensive. I needed one that would work for the branches, trees and such in my yard during the spring & fall months! A lot of limbs had fallen but not enough that I wanted to buy or rent a large wood chipper. This wood chipper is great for our 1/2 acre size yard. I was able to shred all the extra limbs and leaves so that I can then use it as mulch for my garden & bedding for our chicken coop! For this sized wood chipper, it is very powerful and was able to handle all the limbs with no issues at all! This wood chipper is a nice & compact design so I can easily store it in my garden shed & it hardly takes up any space!!! Definitely recommended!!!! ... show more

We have several trees that we want to cut in order to make room to plant vegetables, so my husband started cutting them, the problem is he cut them & left them on the property... Fast forward the trees are still on the property. They were an eyesore, plus on the way for us to start planting on that side lol. We could’ve haul them away, but too many trips to require to do that, we can't get schedules to jive to borrow one, renting equipment is costly. We were not encouraged. Then I stumbled onto this Goplus chipper. I showed it to my husband . Our card got whiplash from how fast we used it to order our own. As the pictures and video show. This Chipper is AWESOME!.     • Ten minutes from box to chipping, then roll into my shed
The media could not be loaded. I have looked at getting a chipper/shredder for some time. From the "cheap electric" to the premium gas/electric. Yes, you can buy an electric chipper for $1000+ but when all is said and done I only need something for cleaning up a few small branches in the fall, or cleaning up when I trim bushes. Do not purchase if you think you want to shred leaves. This really is a "branch" and a chip maker. You will need a bucket or a rubbermaid container to catch the chips and use the included bag. I can just shoot it on the ground for our poison Ivy ground covering. Assembly only takes 10 minutes as seen in my video. ... show more

    • Better Than I Thought
After reading some of the reviews I wasn't sure how well this would work for me. I have several large trees that seem to drop a lot of small limbs all through the year so I thought I would give this a try. We had a snow storm come through which broke off a lot of limbs from my live oak tree. It was able to handle most of them very well, the limbs close to its limit have to be fed slowly to keep from jamming. Over all I am happy with my purchase and would recommend it. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Wow I finally have my own wood chipper. Dreams do come true. Yes it is for smaller branches but it works. To save the life of the blades I recommend using freshly cut tree branches of the wood gets too hard for it to handle. I just chopped half of my moringa tree and fed the branches through the chipper and now I can make my own mulch. My whole front yard is mulch so this is awesome. ... show more
