The product itself in terms of quality is fine. However I had to sand down every 4x4 and use a sledgehammer to get it fully on. I bought brackets too that have openings on the sides - those were fine with the extra room.

Bases are out of square/plumb. The holes for the anchors are too small. They are not 3-1/2” ID, so good luck getting a 4 x 4 to fit without notching.

First off they did not fit a standard 4x4 post which is 3 1/2 x 3 1/2 there are way too small all the posts had to be trimmed down to fit the concrete anchors we're very cheap some weird size you couldn't even find a concrete bit that would fit your ad said that the anchors were 0.315 the actual size was 0.450 try and find a concrete bit that would fit them I couldn't they're either too small or too big I will not recommend these anchors to anybody and I will never buy them again if I could give zero Stars I would ... show more

I was looking for options to replace some posts that are beginning to wear on my awning. They are currently sunk posts in concrete forms and I wanted to get something nice looking that i could space slightly off the ground (fill and frame the forms out) to avoid wood rot but still have some lateral load bearing. These seem like a great alternative option to the standard Simpson strong tie design which has essentially zero ability to reduce post deflection at the base. These are very sturdy metal construction and equally as well finished. Mine arrived with almost no chips or imperfections and seem like they'll wear well outside. I expect them to install easily once the concrete work around the existing forms is done and ready for anchors. ... show more
