When adding the special bulbs (ordered on Amazon) they were super bright. I then got the dimmable bulbs and put them on a dimmer switch and love my new light over my bed. Would be pretty anywhere in your house.

Love this overhead light. Bought it for a small laundry room and it’s perfect. We ruined our first one because we used small regular light bulbs. It crumpled the plastic center piece (light cover in the middle) like a piece of paper. We bought another one and used the LED lights and have had zero problems. This is no way appropriate lighting for a small room. I sure hope I can find brighter bulbs that this can handle, even though I already installed the most powerful they recommend. It is useless as a ceiling light although it looks nice in the room. Three weeks later… I ended up installing 60w equivalent LED candles and this worked!! I am paying attention to see if they get too hot… but so far so good, and now the light level is fine. ... show more
