This is a fantastic compact jump starter. While I haven’t yet tested it to its full potential, it easily jump-starts a fully dead 5-liter gas V8 engine. I will provide an update once I try it on my diesel truck, but I’m confident it will perform well. Each jump start uses only about 3-5% of the battery, and the unit quickly recharges with the included car charger. Impressively, it delivers up to 100 watts while charging in the car. I would definitely recommend this product and would purchase it again when the time comes to replace it. Although I haven’t had to contact GOOLOO’s customer support, they seem to have a solid reputation for backing their products. However, I do recommend considering the purchase of GOOLOO’s hard case, as the provided bag can be challenging to fit everything in feel like the unit is protected. After much research I chose this jumpstarter. It is simple to use with the LCD screen. Perhaps it's biggest benefit is a full charge can be achieved in about an hour and twenty minutes. It will work from -40 degree to 140 degree temperatures. This is the only difference I can see between this model and the GT4000S which has a -4 degree to 140 degree operating temperature range. It weighs 2.42 pounds and measures 9.01L x 3.89W x 2.08H. It comes with a bag and cables to charge with. The clamps and cables measure about 18 inches long and are aliitle of a 1/2 inch wide. Seen many great reviews of this jump starter and and decided to buy it. I fully charged it to 100% earlier in the day and later attempted to jump a GAS 2.7L V6 with a flat battery. Hooked it up and was able to crank the engine for approx. 3 seconds before it quit and started beeping showing an "E3" error on the display. I should also note the outside temperature was around 85 degrees Fahrenheit so this is not a temperature issue. I read the manual before using it and is says that I tried to start the vehicle more than 4 times in 10 minutes, but, I only tried the one time. If it fails to start a GAS 2.7L I doubt its claims of being able to start a gas 12.0L. I'm going to give it a second chance before sending it back but so far I am not impressed. My old Harbor freight jump starter gave me no such issues and has been regularly starting vehicles that call for a battery double its amperage rating, I ordered this as a replacement because I needed something bigger and wanted something with usb C natively. ... show more

It works very well. It's great. I'm very impressed with the quality. I watched a youtube videos that compared it to similar devices and it performed very well for the price. I don't personally have anything to compare it to, but it did jump my car just fine. Two things I wish for: 1. I wish you could turn off the display when you are using it to charge or power a USB device. The display is bright and wastes power if you don't need to look at it. It's also too bright if it's on my nightstand and I'm trying to sleep. 2. I also wish you could charge a car battery. You can't charge a car battery because it won't stay powered up for more than 30 seconds, just long enough to jump start a car. I wish you could keep it powered on until the Gooloo was drained. You might have to recharge the Gooloo 10 times, I don't know many times it would take, but it's not an option because it won't stay on at 12 volts. ... show more

When I received this the other day I charged it up to 100%. I used the included car charger and was nicely surprised by how quickly it charged. I guess that 100w rating is pretty accurate. Well, today I listened to my radio too long with the engine turned off and the work truck wouldn't turn over. So I had to get out in the rain and jump it. Great time to test out the GooLoo 4000 amp jumpstarter (except for the rain, but it was my fault so...). As I expected, it spun the starter much better than the actual battery does and in a split second the engine was running. The rain had no effect on it and it still showed 99% charge after the jump. Since it was 60 degrees outside I wasn't able to test the heating circuit, but I'm not too sad about that as I'm not partial to below zero conditions. There was nothing to suggest that the heater wouldn't work if needed. When I first saw these small jumpstarters for sale I was very leery of them. Not anymore. Over the past month I have used several of them and all have done the job nicely. I believe this GooLoo unit would start almost any engine with a 12 volt starter and I feel very confident with it in the vehicle. If I, or somebody else, has a low or dead battery, I know I am prepared to start the car. Edit 10/17/2023 I have had this unit for a bit more than a year and a half and have not had an occasion to use it a second time until last week. I tried to jump start my '96 Crown Vic, but was unable to due to the GT4000 being discharged. I plugged it in and instead of the unit charging up the display just flashed on...off...on...off. I contacted GooLoo even though my warranty period is passed and they are looking into this to see if they can get my unit back up and working. I have to admit that I was shocked that it quit working after only a single jump or two, but at least they are willing to help with it. I will give an update once I know where things stand. Update 10/25/2023 Fiona sent me a brand new in the box replacement. I am greatly pleased with the customer service and would not hesitate to buy a product from these folks again.
