These were very easy to install. You do need 2.5” to mount inside. Since we couldn’t do outside mount, we barely had the 2,5”. We first attached a 3” wide piece of white trim to our patio door top frame. This blended nicely and you can’t even tell. Gave us that little extra needed space. I didn’t cut all exactly even. In hindsight I should have stacked then and trimmed at same time. Nonetheless, it looks fine. I didn’t want blackout, but I did want some privacy. These allow very limited visibility at night looking in, and during the day enough to see some light while inside. With 4 panels, there is overlap of 1 (6’ patio just slightly wider than 3 panels, so the 4th just gives a more opaque section. Customer service was quite responsive. The only bummer is that you cannot change the layer order. Meaning my patio door opens on the left (when inside). When the shades are pulled, the left panel is closest to the glass, so it can get caught on the handle. But for this price and “customizing” it myself rather than paying considerably more for a company to customize, I can more it out of the way! To increase privacy from outside eyes, I put privacy window film on the glass. In the image you can see the difference. The right side (door) has the film, left side does not. ... show more

Overall decent blinds. While the installation instructions are not the best but if you stop to look at how the whole thing goes together it's pretty simple and quick to install. The blinds slide easily enough along the rails and it looks pretty good. My biggest complaint is that it doesn't come with any kind of cover for the rail/track so the metal bar is exposed and doesn't look the best. The blinds were easy to cut and the little metal bars make it them look good after the cut and weighs the curtains from moving to much. Overall, for for price, I would recommend it. ... show more

Absolutely beautiful and exceeded my expectations. We live in Florida and have a large south facing sliding door. It brings in a ton of heat and black out curtains were not enough. We needed to be able to keep the curtains drawn sometimes to let the dogs and keep the kids from playing in them. I priced out honeycomb sliding blinds and they were ridiculously expensive. I stumbled upon this and purchased the zipper pattern because it was light filtering, low maintenance, and good for young kids. I was blown away by how good it looked after my husband installed it. I ordered these for our sliding glass door. They are very nice and work well. My husband had these up and working in about an hour. They are modern and block just enough light to save my eyes from the setting sun. They have a sheerness about them so you can still see through them. I searched online for days trying to find a solution for our laundry room. We wanted to hide the furnace and water heater without having to put up a wall. The only things I could find were stand up accordions or hanging a curtain. This added a clean modern look to the room. We installed the track to the ceiling (easy). The four blinds fit perfectly to hide the utilities. Sliding open and closed is not a big deal so we have quick access to the cleaning supplies behind. The blinds are not see through so nothing is visible. The blind are from floor to ceiling so no distractions. This is a great solution as a room divider! ... show more

I just love the sliding curtains. Definitely higher quality than those plastic slat things. They’re not blackout, but they are room darkening. I was worried that maybe someone could see through them from the outside, so I went outside and took a peek. You can only see about 2 feet into my dining room so no biggie. The only complaint I have and the reason for the 4 star review, is the fact that they gray is a different shade of gray than the picture advertised. It appears to be a blue gray on website, but it’s actually a taupe gray. ... show more

I didn't have enough space to install a sliding door so this was the perfect solution! The shades look very good, good quality and the charcoal color is beautiful. It goes so we'll with our new floors! Plus it was super easy to install, in 30 minutes, they were up and ready to use. Very happy with my purchase for sure! If there is any criticism, it is that I wish the top sliding medal track had a cover, I know it is a choice thing but it would make it look finished. ... show more
