Features

  • Standard for applying PEI sheets or other print surfaces on to 3D printing build plates. Also industry standard for graphic attachment and general industrial joining applications.
  • High performance acrylic adhesive performs well after exposure to humidity and hot/cold cycles. Heat resistance of up to 400 F. Great for 3D printing applications, since 3D printer heated bed temps remain within that range.
  • Excellent shear strength to resist slippage and edge lifting. This is important when having a level and sturdy bond is required.
  • Cut to size for easy application with no mess. Peel off the polycoated kraft paper liner when ready to use, and apply to clean surface.
  • Double sided adhesive tape is great for adhering, bonding, mouting, holding, and attaching PEI to print beds.

    • Works great for old printing plates
One of the most frustrating things about flexographic printing plates is that the adhesive loses strength over time no matter how careful you are. In our business, we add customer logos to our products so we have to cycle through printing plates quite often. In the past, when the adhesion would begin to lessen, we would use masking tape on the edges until there was no adhesion left and then buy new plates. This is frustrating as the plates can be quite expensive. More frustrating is that the plates aren't worn enough to warrant a replacement. After doing some searching, I found this adhesive on Amazon. I figured it couldn't hurt to give it a shot and see if I could restore the plates adhesive so the plates would have a longer life. The purchase was very worthwhile! It bonded very well with the printing plate and excellent with aluminum roller. Even better is that it didn't peel off on the roller. I am incredibly satisfied and excited that we could save $1000 or more each year by simply reapplying a $3 sheet every few cycles. Really good double sided tape. Bought it for a pick guard that came off from a guitar, so I applied the tape to the pick guard and back on the guitar and it hasn’t came off since! Only negative thing I would say is that it’s hard to peel off the other side of the tape since it’s so thin.

    • Nice flat sheets, work great. Super sticky -- have a plan!
Exactly as described.. sheets of genuine 3M material. You must have a plan going in, and maybe some scrap to practice on. This stuff grips hard, stretches and won't let go. If you make one mistake, you get a bubble or doubled-over lump. Smaller stuff is easy, but if you're doing a full 12x12, really think about how it's going to go down -- and don't change course. You can float it with soapy water or RapidTak a little, but it's still grippy. Let it dry completely before removing the backing, as wet backing might lift the adhesive and make lumps. I don't like that it rolls a little when putting it on. But it gets the job done and stays put.

    • Very sticky
Had to use this on a tank pad for my motorcycle. It was way tougher than the adhesive the pad came with. Easy to cut to the size you need and install.

Bought this to create some leatherette keychains and I can tell you that this is STICKY stuff! Works great, but can be a bit difficult to work with under some circumstances; however, I will buy it again because the stick is amazing!

Even with a giant 'Do Not Fold/Bend' label on the front - Amazon insist on throwing this into a flimsy cardboard envelope as mentioned in other reviews, so of course - the thing has more waves than the Atlantic. This may not be an issue depending on your application but it certainly doesn't help. I'd recommend buying 3M products elsewhere. ... show more
