As I've gotten older, I find that it's easier and easier to hurt my lower back by picking up heavy object. Items that I used to pick up when I was younger, I now have to be really careful with. In fact, I often dread when there is something heavy that I need to pick up. That was why I ordered this back brace. I've wanted to get one for years and now I finally decided to try one out. I like the way this brace fits and provides sturdy support to my lower back. It has a main brace that attaches with Velcro and 2 "pressurized" side straps. When you first put it on, you have to make sure that the 2 side straps are completely loosened and then you put on the main Velcro strap. Once it's snug, you attach the 2 side straps and then your lower back is protected. At this point, I've attempted to pick up a couple of heavy items and this device was very supportive, and I didn't suffer from any lower back pain. I believe this will also help if I happen to hurt my lower back and I need extra support. I will certainly be wearing this any time I have an issue with my lower back, or I need to pick up something. From my experience so far, I recommended this to anyone with lower back issues. It is something I should have gotten years ago. ... show more

This is a very nice back brace that is easy to fast against the waist and provide supports to the back with 3 hard (in the middle) and 2 soft (on the side) straps spanning an area of 13x9.5 inches. Muscles on the side waists are less likely to have a problem. So the two sides are covered with soft mesh material that is breathable to allow heat and sweat to release. A 6-inch wide Velcro link is used to tighten the brace with an additional 2 inch intensifying link. These fasting links are wide that is helpful to people with a big belly. The wide links would keep the brace in the middle of the belly to prevent it from moving up or down. What is unique to this brace is the inclusion of a movable diamond shaped 3D lumber pad. You can keep it in the middle back to support the spinal cord or move it around to support the muscles that are sore. ... show more

I got this for my husband who has a bad back. He’s had 2 surgeries and it better, but still has some pain. He has tried several brands and told me he likes this Gintron back brace the best. He really liked the removable pad in the center for extra support. And the adjustable straps allowed him to make it fit comfortably. And it definitely helps mitigate his pain. This Gintron Back Brace is REALLY strong and sturdy. It took me a few minutes to learn all the parts and get it properly situated so it gives me amazing support.
