  • 4 years and still working - best washer machine
Color: White & Blue
I have the machine since 2020, meaning more than 4 years already I used to wash 2 times a week everything for 3 of us. Including the twin xl bed sets, I can wash one full set of twin xl sheets. It fills automatically during the wash cycles, and spin dry automatically. Now since my mother has Alzheimer, we have to wash 7 days a week at least 4 full washes. Really easy to use. I do not use Clorox on it, and I use liquid detergent. Clorox will damage the automatic pump system, that why it still working after more than 4 years, working as new. It is quiet and if something goes wrong it will automatically stop to avoid damage. I have it on a small cart which locks the wheels to avoid movement during the drying spinning cycle. I also bought a small dryer which I had to replace it after 14 months, but this washer still working like new. I do recommend it 100% ... show more

  • Best purchase in a long time
Color: White & Blue
It sounds dumb but I can't remember the last time a purchase made me this excited. No more communal laundry room is definitely worthy of celebration. Also, the shipping package does not indicate what is inside if it matters to anyone. The Giantex fully automatic portable washing machine is all plastic, maybe with the exception of the motor and the drum to keep it lightweight. The machine is the smallest I've found on Amazon. I live in a small apartment with no washer/dryer hookup so buying this made a lot of sense. The wash and spin cycles are not noisy at all. I feel comfortable my neighbors have not heard anything while it is in use. This compact washing machine is easy to use, although there are 6 wash functions, I just use Normal because they all seem to function similarly. There's a reviewer on Amazon that spells out each function if you care about it. The lint trap in the drum is crap so get your own and make sure there is some sort of lint collector at the end of your drain hose. I've had it for a few weeks and am doing a load every 3 days in the summer for one person. I think it will be more frequent during the winter when clothes are heavier. My apartment always smells like clean laundry since I also air dry. It's worked out so well that I bought one for my mom in anticipation of her downsizing from a house to an apartment! She's been using this instead of her full-size washing machine and love it more. The first week I had this machine I used a ($25) Rinsaroo hose that I use to bathe my dog to get water directly into the machine. This is OK if you are fine with manually adding water to every wash and rinse cycles. I highly recommend a Rinsaroo because it works well if you can't hook this up to any plumbing. After the machine proved itself, I ditched the Rinsaroo and hooked this up to my shower diverter. I can direct water to the fixed shower or to the washer using a ($19) universal dishwasher hose kit from Kalero (it is for a dishwasher but it works for this machine as well.) The kit includes adapters necessary adapters, an elbow adapter for the washing machine inlet and a 10' stainless steel braided hose. With some Teflon tape I was able to get it all set up in 15 minutes. I also mounted the ($63) brightmaison Space Saver Wall Mounted Laundry Clothes Drying Rack with Hooks and Swing Arms drying rack right above the washer so it is convenient for air drying. It is perfectly sized for laundry loads handled by this machine. No need to haul out my drying rack since it is right there. It comes in two sizes 17" and 24" depending on your needs and space. To keep this washer mobile, I've ordered the ($19) Milwaukee mover's dolly 16" x 16", it is sturdier and better made than anything else I've found on Amazon. But I have to change out the wheels for ones that have brakes. This dolly is 5" high so elevates the washer even more so I don't have to bend down too far while doing laundry anymore! ... show more

  • Lifechanging during the COVID-19 pandemic!
Color: White & Blue
I did a lot of research about portable washing machines and settled on this one based on compact size, sleek look, and other positive online reviews. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this machine! As an apartment dweller in NYC during this pandemic, I do not want to be spending time in the elevator and communal laundry room. While you can only do small loads in this, I simply do 2 or even 3 loads in a row and then just let everything air dry. I am saving money on laundry machine in basement and avoiding exposure to others. This machine is super quiet except in some cases when off balance probably due to the items being washed. I keep my machine on it's dolly in my bathroom full time and attach the incoming water to my sink faucet and the drain pipe over my tub facet handles. IMPORTANT: HOWEVER, while I love this new purchase, there are things I any potential buyer should know: 1) The water empties very quickly and there's a lot of it, so I only recommend using the drain in a tub or a very deep utility basin. Your bathroom sink would probably overflow every time the machine drains. I don't think this machine would work well with most kitchen sinks either unless they are super deep, as you would need to keep an eye on the lint, whereas in my tub, I don't worry about it flooding and can go about my business while the machine is washing. 2) The lint catcher in this machine doesn't seem to trap much lint, so lint comes out in the water and will clog your drain. Be sure to get a lint catcher for the tub and empty it often. I use this one: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01B6AA72S/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 3) The plastic hose will strip easily and I use pliers to tighten my attachments each time I use them, so buy this hose: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00838I9UO/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o05_s03?ie=UTF8&psc=1 4) Bring this hose to your local hardware store and the end of your bathroom faucet bit and ask them to recommend which tap converter to use. (There was another reviewer on here who posted the incorrect adaptor to use with this hose, so don't order that one.) 5) I recommend this wheeled dolly as the right size for this machine: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07Q28RX2Q/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 6) Whoever translated the instruction booklet is not very good at English. It makes almost no sense and doesn't mention any details about how to use the settings. Giantex should hire an English speaker to create a more thorough instruction booklet that includes detailed instructions on how to use the settings. I found someone online who said to use the medium water level and "normal" load setting so I have been using that. If you want to soak before washing, keep hitting the blinking button below the "normal, standard, fast" section until it scrolls back up to the setting you want (in my case, normal) and stops blinking. That will soak your laundry first. With the blinking light, it starts washing once the water fills. There are few online tutorials about this machine that I found helpful. Just google this machine on YouTube and you will find some. There was some big plastic black piece like long rectangular bracket with a recess and holes in it in the packaging that seemed like it became dis-attached from something inside the bottom of the machinery. One tutorial says it's just packaging and not part of the machine. Not sure where she found that information but it would be nice if Giantex could clarify that. I actually stuck it in the bottom of my machine where it looked like it should fit, and it seems to not be causing any problem. Any one else know what that large black bracket thing is? In any case, this machine has brought some joy to my life during this awful pandemic, and in the long run it will save me money on what I was spending on my building's machines. Highly recommend if you have a tub! I would give it 5 stars if it weren't for the horrible, barely English instruction booklet. ... show more
