I do really like this desk organizer. I have it on kitchen counter to corral all the pesky note pads, pen, messages scribbled on torn bits of paper, stray recipes, ...well, you get the idea. I have cordless phone and small dock on the flat top shelf along with a holder of sticky pads. Wonderful help, more room on the counter now. It was easy to put together and looks like the pictured item. Comes with 2 pen/pencil holders, which are on the small side. It has two small slide out trays and one large slide out tray. Nice. My only real negative is that the top shelf had a slight downward sway, I have no idea why. It arrived in pristine condition. The sway was noticeable as soon as it was completely assembled. Nothing I have on top (phone, sticky notes) are heavy and the sway is not lower because of these items. While this is not all that large (11" x 11" x 5.5"), it does come with 1 large drawer and 2 half drawers (side by side), and has an open area on top with a 1" wire lip around it for things like check books or papers. It will easily tip over when you open up the drawers so keep that in mind if you put anything you don't want to go flying on top or in the other drawers. You'll figure out how to not do this quickly. It's attractive, sturdy, and you can decide if you want the big drawer on the bottom or the two half drawers there instead so it's versatile. Took longer to unbox than it did to assemble it! I'm very pleased with this purchase and it won't die on me like my plastic desk organizers did. ... show more

This organizer is ready to use right out of the box. It is made with good material and the drawers move in and out smoothly. Unfortunately, mine had a hole in the back of one of the small drawers and the top had a dip in the middle. Because of these defects, I am sending it back. I was going to exchange it but I decided not to. I don't like to return products, as it is a hassle and time-consuming. It is a sign of poor product control in products bought online.
