Edit: I've been using this stand for just under a year now. Everything is still amazing and it's held up extremely well to daily use. Several thoughts about this little stand: 1) Shipping was quick. Ordered on a Friday, got it on Sunday. (Who knew that USPS delivered on Sundays? ffs.) 2) The packaging was attractive. The stand came preassembled, bubble wrapped, and in a sturdy box. Would be appropriate to wrap and give as a gift. 3) It appears to be well made. I've only used it for a handful of days, but so far so good. The wood feels smooth. The design of the fan vent is really pretty. The little drawer on the side along with the carved notch for a phone or cup is a nice touch. The space below that carved notch is adequate to use a small mouse. 4) The size is appropriate. It's big enough to hold my MSI Ge62 Apache Pro, but not so big that it's cumbersome or anything like that. The stand feels sturdy without feeling too heavy. I don't feel like my laptop is going to come flying off. The ability to adjust the leg height is nice also. 5) The fan surprisingly works well. I was hesitant at first because the fan looks a little cheap and the blades look a bit flimsy. It's basically a box mounted under that flower looking thing. I would like for maybe a channel for the cable to run through, as sometimes I feel like I'm going to get the cord hung up in something. I guess it's better to have too much length than not enough. After about an hour of gaming, my laptop can get HOT. This fan has been able to keep up with a high graphic load and get that heat distributed well without the need for me to turn on my extra fan boosters on my laptop. I'd definitely buy this table again, or would buy it as a gift. ... show more

This bed tray is beautifully made and matches the description on the store page exactly. As other reviewers have noted, there are a few things the manufacturer could improve upon; 1) The laptop area could be a inch wider to accommodate a 17-inch laptop. It is just shy of fitting mine by a half-inch. 2). The "stop", which fits into two drill holes at the front, can be removed and fits into the drawer, is not "finished" the same way the rest of the desk is - it's edges are squared and the top, while slightly curved, is rough and unfinished. Some might find that this bed desk is a little too high for their comfort. I find it ok if a tad too tall but workable. The pros are as follows; 1) Beautiful finish on the top and legs, 2) Adjustable height - four different heights 3) Small side drawer 4) Foldable to flat (some adjustment required which is good in that it's not going to collapse while in use but also not great in that it takes some effort to fold) Overall, a worthy pick! ... show more

    • Decent Build, but Needs Light Sanding
Oct. 23, 2018. Product arrived quickly and in good condition. Nnewvante sent the item bubble wrapped with care instructions specifically to elongate the life of this bamboo product, so kudos to them. The build is decent and everything works as it should, however a star has been removed for some minor issues. One, the only straight angled cuts on this thing are for the legs. The drawer isn't exactly square so it catches a little bit when trying to open it. The laptop side of the desk is separated with a cut that's around 182 degrees, instead of a straight 180. It's very minor and likely won't be an issue as far as mechanics go, but you can tell things aren't cut exactly right. The last cosmetic issue is for the vent cutout and under edges of the desk, and this is the primary reason for the loss of a star. You will likely need to buff down these hard edges to take the splinters and burrs off, as the wipedown with the wet cloth they recommend isn't enough to remove them. I will update in a few weeks to report on its overall durability through use. ------ November 29, 2018: I've been using this desk frequently in these past few weeks. Following the care instructions for maintaining the bamboo has resulted in the fan slots smoothing out considerably. Sanding lightly definitely helped, but keeping the wood conditioned is an absolute must. The desk is extremely comfortable and the default height works well in deep set recliners or even sitting on the floor. The only issues I've noticed so far is that the drawer is almost impossible to open when anything is placed inside of it and humidity is high. The only way to fix this is to reassemble the drawer components, but that's not something I would really recommend doing as it seems the parts were never squared to begin with. If you need a lap desk with a drawer for storage, I would look elsewhere. Additionally, the more you use your lap desk, the more the legs move freely. This is both a blessing and a curse; it's never a struggle to open the desk to use anymore, but the locking mechanism only keeps the legs open, not closed. Putting the desk away after use has resulted in the legs slapping me in the face on occasion. I wouldn't consider this a deal breaker however, as the remedy is fairly easy: don't face the backside of the desk towards you when you're putting it away. Overall, I would highly recommend this product (if you don't need a drawer on your desk) for your use. It's turned out to be a sturdy and stable working space with great depth and width for working on. I've been able to complete coloring assignments, computer work, and even play some games on my computer with it. The fan slots help to keep my computer cool, and definitely lighten the weight of the desk a bit. I really like that the book rest is optional and it fits nicely in the drawer (although it can be a pain to access at times). The angles of the adjustable side of the surface are perfect for reading, and those who prefer using the Nintendo 3DS with a stand will find this desk works perfectly for that as well. ... show more
