I can always count on Ghirardelli for quality products. Used to love seeing the huge Ghirardelli sign down on Fisherman’s Wharf in San Francisco. Quality chocolate, hot chocolate mix and now the caramel sauce. I used to get the venti sized caramel latté at Starbucks with extra whipped cream and extra
caramel sauce on top. (I know, cost a fortune!) I loved that caramel sauce and was hoping this would be close. It surpasses it. I use some in my coffee once in a while. It’s also very sweet so it’s a bit tricky to get that caramel taste without it being too sweet but I manage! Also great on Ben and Jerry’s ice cream (like it needs any topping). Pours smoothly and I don’t have to squeeze bottle with lots of effort, at least not so far. I imagine it will be a little difficult once I get down to the end of the bottle, but I’m trying to make it last. It’s worth the price. Many other caramel sauces just taste sweet with little real caramel flavor. Lastly, I bought it earlier this month, October 2024, and expiration date is not until 12/30/2025 which is great. Always a risk with food products online. Please try it.

Came in not expired, perfect for iced coffees at home, good consistency of not super runny and not super thick. Gives that great visual effect running down a clear glass for Instagram look. Smooth texture and the bottle isnt obnoxious for the hand to use. It was sealed when it came in.

Can’t Go Wrong with Ghirardelli

We go through a lot of coffee and caramel macchiato in our kitchen. Buying in bulk says a lot of $. I have it on auto-ship and it always arrives fresh. Tip: be sure to store it standing up. Taste seems flat compared to homemade or even dulce de leche

I was hoping these would work well as an easy cupcake garnish, but it's pretty thin & I feel like the flavor is still lacking. Homemade or even canned dulce de leche both taste way better IMO & I was surprised at how quickly this needs to be used up after opening (2 weeks IIRC).

I am so obsessed with this sea salt caramel. The taste is rich and decadent and the texture is so smooth. I’ve tried other skinny versions of sea salt caramel, but this by far is worth the calories! Enjoy!
