Packaging was great, no damages, very well secured easy set up , ran for a few hours on my house. Considering the size it is so much more quiet than my open frame generator. This powered a 40’ travel trailer with both AC units running. It’s pretty quiet. Love the dual fuel option. Took a star off because the pin for the handle broke on the second day. Love the push start 💜

In the storm impacted area of S.C. and lost power on Sep 27th, so quite excited to receive my new generator on Oct 1st. Immediately got the unit up and running. After 20hrs of use it continued to run but stopped producing power. Called Genmax customer service who told me the inverter was bad and offered to ship me another, which I would need to install myself. I asked when I would receive it, explaining my situation, to which I was told 5-8 days. I asked them to overnight it and they said they couldn’t. I'm blown away with the build quality and noise level of this generator! It was assembled and ready to go right out of the package with the exception of adding the provided oil.     • Hard to plug in
The generator is noisier than we would like, but it works well the two times we have needed it. The largest complaint, however, is a serious design flaw. We purchased this to run a 50 amp cord into our panel via an inlet box and a manual transfer switch. That's all normal and fine. The issue is that the control panel is surround by a molded plastic rim that prevents any 50 amp plug on the market to fit snug. The rim on the bottom of the control panel raises the case (cover/base) of the male plug so that the plug itself can't go all the way into the generator's female 50 amp receptacle. Not good when running 220 power in a windy ice storm. Ice would periodically strike the exposed part of the plug, temporarily overloading the generator. I would need to go out and hit the reset button periodically. I think that Genmax knows about this issue, because the provide a number of plugs and cases. But expecting customers to wire their own 50 amp plug because of a design flaw isn't reasonable. If anyone knows of a 50 amp plug that isn't at 90 degrees to the cord, let me know. That's the only solution, but as far as I can tell, no one makes such a plug case for 50 amps. ... show more
