  • 1 pull start , almost always
Easy start, reliable, and lots of Easy troubleshooting shooting. Exhaust problems shut the unit down quickly and nicely, just like yhe lowest oil, or overload protection. The fuel consumption is minimal, I've litteraly run for 8 hours on one tank, one gallon of fuel, and yhe unit started right back up, when I refilled the tank. The unit is super quiet, you can easily talk right next to it, without having to raise your voice, there is absolutely no loud banging noise like the big 4 to 6 k generators make, and you can connect Teo these together to create a 30 amp capability. The weight is something like 35 lbs, you can easily pick it up with one hand, arm and carry it anywhere. Very portable, very store able, robust. A nice product! ... show more

  • Skeptical? Don't be. This is a great buy.
I couldn't justify the price of the named brand for my needs. I just wanted a small generator that I could take on my sailboat a few times a year to run an AC in hopes the wife would tollerate a few overnights on the coast. After a lot of web searching, youtube research, and review crunching, I decided on this little guy. What a great buy. It is light, quiet, and runs well. It is thoughtfully designed with all the buttons and switches clearly marked and a well engineered gas cap. When I got it, I put in new oil, ran it for the time prescribed, replaced the oil, very little shavings. I bought a little run meter so I could keep up with the hours. I haven't used it on the boat yet, but I've used it a couple of other times. Once to run a power tool, and once on a camping trip with our little camper trailer that doesn't have a generator. It ran the camper AC and lights just fine. A high doller camping trailer next to us had the high dollar named brand generator of the same size. Ours ran just like his, but ours was even quieter. Haha, that felt good. It starts within a few pulls when it's been sitting up for a while, and if I've run it within a few days, it starts first pull. I take it out of the shed to start it every few months just to make sure it will be ready when I need it. I haven't been disappointed yet. Buy it. ... show more

  • Disappointing Performance
I bought this generator expecting reliability, but it struggled to start and often stalled during use. The power output was inconsistent, and it was louder than anticipated. I had trouble running multiple appliances at once.

  • Quiet and easy to start
Really happy with this generator which I bought to use while camping instead of my much larger 3500 watt inverter generator. This model is compact and very easy to start and much more portable than my larger generator. If you can't afford a Honda (and who really can?), I think this one is pretty good and I've now had mine for about 6 months and used it several times. ... show more

  • Genmax 2000i with surprise
The media could not be loaded. After a long search and comparison, I decided on the Genmax 2000i, which I wanted to take with me to Mexico. The generator was in Laredo for another week, I picked it up at the bodega, opened the box and checked the generator from the outside, everything was fine, like new, only the adhesive tape on the Kortan was transparent. When I was in Mexico, I read the instructions, filled up the oil, filled up with petrol and the power generator ran on the third pull and was very quiet. I thought that was a good thing. Now the assessment: 1: The specified amount of oil did not fit, it should be 1/10 gallon, 0.378 liters, it was too much. The level on the dipstick was exceeded. 2: the big disappointment. The generator does not have an hour meter, so I wanted to install an hour meter, which is very easy to install. I pulled the spark plug cap and saw a cracked spark plug, not good!! In various Amazon reviews from various generators I had seen spark plug caps or spark plugs broken, now I had the same thing. 3 years ago I had a Westinghouse igen 2200i from Amazon that had a broken spark plug cap, I bought a cap from Honda which was better and worked fine. But here the broken spark plug was a bigger problem, picture 2 and 3a 3: the supplied spark plug wrench only worked for a 1/4 turn, then it got stuck. The included spark plug wrench only went on because the spark plug was bent. After changing the spark plug, the original socket wrench can be put on, but it jams. My assumption, someone had this generator and tried to unscrew the spark plug, bent it and sent the device back. That's why I couldn't fill in 0.378 liters of oil because there was residual oil in it. 4: I was only able to turn the spark plug wrench a 1/4 turn then it stuck to the housing, the spark plug was crooked and porcelain stuck the wrench to the spark plug. I had a hard time getting the spark plug out. 5: Porcelain parts were on the outside of the cylinder head thread, picture 4 6: there was a chip in the spark plug hole thread picture 5, I was able to remove it with tweezers. 7: mmh, did some parts fall through the spark plug thread into the cylinder? I checked with an endoscope and thankfully didn't find any parts pic 6 but a thread burr on the piston pic 6, using a small 7mm diameter hose on a car vacuum cleaner I went into the spark plug thread and the first time I was able to remove the instep pic 7 8: it was a lot of work to create space for the work picture 8 9: why all this? Look at the pictures 9, 10, 11, and 12, the spark plug can hardly be changed with the long original tool. Even with a short spark plug tool with a 1/4" drive, it is almost impossible to change the plug. A flexible 1/4" or 3/8" socket wrench must be used. The spark plug wrench does not line up with the spark plug. Summary: It took me 4 hours to fix what someone broke and covered up. The top thread is slightly damaged, but it should still work. After taking the whole case apart I can say the plastic parts, the finish everything I saw seems to be of good quality and finish. When assembling it, I noticed that everything was a perfect fit. The generator has a very low running noise, very quiet in Eco mode. I was amazed that even in Eco mode the generator runs without any problems with a 1400 watt electric oven. Would I buy the generator again? Yes, but the supplier has to change the spark core tool immediately, or even better, install an engine that has a spark plug that is slightly slanted to the side, then there will be no problems even with a standard tool. I hope the seller, wholesaler and manufacturer respond to this comment. PS: Years before that I worked as a development engineer for electromechanical devices. ... show more

  • Worked perfect when I finally needed it.
First need came with Hurricane Milton. Started right up and ran like a charm. Used for a 6000 btu window ac and a desk top computer with no problems. Turned ac off temporarily and used on microwave oven also with no problems.

  • Very quiet and simple to statt
While I haven’t used it very much yet this generator was purchased to operate a large fan for my sons baseball team. One of the dugouts is like a brick oven and hit’s temperatures over 135 degrees. I needed something I could set up at a distance without being a distraction to the game and other fans. It works absolutely awesome. As a father I couldn’t let my boys sit in that dugout another year. 3 sides block no vents and faces into the afternoon evening sun. This gives enough power to operate a 36” circle floor/shop fan for the boys and drops the temperature inside a solid 20 degrees as well as giving a breeze. Obviously it’s still hot at 115 but it’s a heck of a lot better. Bad design for the dugout but the generator is great. Very pleased and I highly recommend this even though I haven’t used it much. ... show more

  • Poor Performance and Reliability
I bought this generator expecting solid performance, but it was disappointing. It struggled to power essential appliances and often stalled. The fuel efficiency was poor, requiring constant refills. The noise level was also higher than expected.
