  • Great product
Product was exactly as pictured and described. Worked perfectly. Made the belt removal and installation a lot easier. Well made and great tool for the job.

  • Definitely makes things easier
Definitely makes manipulating the belt tensioner easier than alternatives like a breaker bar or wrench. Picked this one because I thought being able to have the angled bar versus a long fixed bar would be especially helpful in my application as there are multiple coolant hoses to work around and was absolutely right. Well worth it in my opinion. Clearly well made and did the job exactly as I was expecting. ... show more

  • Worked like a champ on my hard to reach Toyota Tundra pulley
Worked like a champ on my hard to reach Tundra pulley. I had changed the belt 2x prior with LOTS of difficulties, swearing and reluctant family assistance. The access is extremely narrow with everything in place. I broke 2 of the cheap tensioner tools while changing pulleys and a worn belt over the years. I recently had to change a water pump and was dreading the belt portion of the task. I saw this tool was highly recommended and notably discounted. I didn't realize angle of the head was lockable. it's a great feature and was invaluable. Used the tool and a brake hanger to hold my pulley out of place while I removed the belt in the process. It held rock-solid and was uniquely adaptable to the odd angles necessary to get the job done from above. Highly recommended. ... show more

  • Great quality, versatile tool
Makes alternator belt removal easier, if you don't break off the cast aluminum nut on the end of tensioner, like I did! Should have moved it slower with less muscle! Had to use a hefty screwdriver as pry bar on end of tensioner, a pain, but got the job done.

  • sockets too shallow, otherwise ok
the sockets are made too shallow (not machined deep enough) so they do not engage the idler bolt as deep as they should otherwise its a good tool, good for us home mechanics, probably not good for professionals.

  • Much better than the Pittsburgh Serpentine Belt Tool Kit
I bought this after first trying the Harbor Freight Pittsburgh Serpentine Belt Tool Kit. This kit is much better and worth the extra cost IMO. This handle ratchets, whereas the other didn't. The sockets in this kit are much lower profile than the Pittsburgh and fit in the small gap on my 2007 Mazda 6i where the other didn't. The two arms of the tool are also held together much more tightly because there's a rubber o-ring that grips it and doesn't let it fall out easily. The two handle pieces of the Pittsburgh fall apart very easily with side to side movement. Overall it's quite good, though I do wish the ratcheting action was finer. I had to move the handle further than I'd like to go back a tooth. I also wish the socket was held a bit more tightly in the wrench, like with a detent pin or something. The socket was wedged so tightly onto my tensioner bolt that the handle popped off the socket when I tried to remove it. ... show more
