  • Out-of-Home Smart Lights Control: The CYNC app allows you to set daily schedules for your routine, control your lights while you are away, turn your lights off to save energy, or schedule lights to turn on at dusk so you never come home to a dark house
  • Smart plug comes in a compact size: The Cync smart plugs that work with Alexa and Google Home feature a slim design that keeps the second outlet in standard wall outlets available to plug in another device or smart plug.

Description

The Cync Smart Plug makes any lamp or device that plugs into a wall smart. The built-in Wi-Fi bridge adds out-of-home control for your lighting and devices and voice control when paired with a voice assistant. The plug also enables scheduling and scene setting to traditional bulbs and devices. The Smart Plug adds smart functionality to fixtures where smart bulbs won't fit or match the look of the fixture. Pair the Smart Plug with Cync or C by GE Smart Bulbs in other fixtures and Smart Switches to control all your lights together. Use the Smart Plug with other devices like curling irons, fans and electronic devices to turn them on or off remotely or schedule them to operate around your routine. The Smart Plug connects directly with Google Home and Amazon Alexa devices without a hub required. Simply plug into a standard wall socket and you're ready to go.

  • Incredibly easy to setup
Style: Matter Compatible Size: 3 Plugs
Easy installation, matter compatible, very good value for money .They make very good products. If I could go back in time , I would only stick with there automation. Very reliable , does as advertised.

  • These work well but order fulfillment has been rough.
Style: Indoor Size: 3 Plugs
These are very easy to setup and can handle 15 amps. I've used them for 750 watt space hearers in the garage gym in Colorado for the mornings on a routine. Alexa integration is super easy. My issue comes with the fulfillment. I've ordered two 3-packs and twice now Amazon has only sent singles. One of the shipments was clearly used / open and missing contents. I recommend buying these in person at a hardware store vs from Amazon. ... show more

  • So far so good.
Style: Indoor Size: 3 Plugs
The media could not be loaded. So far so good. It works with the Alexa app alone. It doesn’t really advertise it. And it comes with a piece of literature that says you should download this CYNC app or something like that so this is what I did on my iPhone. Go to your settings turn on Bluetooth. Go to your Wi-Fi and put it on a Wi-Fi network. That is 2.4 some people don’t have that I had to go get a router and set it up plug it into my 5G router and then set it set the 2.4 G up. It just works better and it’s a lot easier to set your phone to that 2.4g net work. I downloaded the app but I never signed in. I never logged in. I never even opened it so I’m assuming that I didn’t need to do it but I did do from here on out was Open the Alexa app On the bottom, go to devices There’s a plus sign on the top right hit that plus I think this is where your hit plug They will ask you for your brand. The brand is GE it takes a second to register. Plugging your device into a plug It helps if you were relatively close to the net work. When I said my plugs, I always make sure that I am really clothes are in the same room with the Wi-Fi net work, and I set it up and then I hand carry it to the actual room in the house that I wanted to go to. This works a lot faster in a lot more reliable. So plug in your plug and then hit find devices or something like that And then you wait there may be another step once it find it it’ll ask you to set it up That means you’ll pick the room rename it I don’t reading them I don’t pick the room I just tested and make sure it turns on and off Then I bring my six plugs or whatever to wherever I want them and plug them in and then in the Alexa app it’ll show me where it is and I will name where it is later. I’ll come back and start grouping those off and after that I start putting them into routines if I want things to automatically turn on and off. I have to be setting up a new house. My old loft was wide open, and I had about 30 different plugs, and I kind of got carried away and it was very very elaborate. Two out of my six plugs did not work when I plug them back in there was no light when I push the button on the side for a few seconds it didn’t work so I wanted to tell you how to fix that also On the side push the button for a very long time I’m gonna call it like 10 to 20 seconds it’ll turn red. And then you let it go and it’ll be reset and it’ll be flashing green. Like I said two of these did that I had to reset them, but it took me a while. I was getting mad that I was gonna have to send them back but they actually really worked. And so far they feel really solid but I haven’t connected a ton of them up. So on a sidenote, I first tried to buy 5G sockets and I got like 15 of 12 or something and they just didn’t work. They clogged up the 5G system. Somehow I never had that problem with two point 4G plugs so I basically took them all out and just put them in a box and now I’m going to this and I’m hoping that I can change all my switches and all my lamps and everything so I can do the proper light settings. Hope this helps I don’t get paid to do this, so I’m not gonna spell check this. ... show more

  • Works Great...
Style: Indoor Size: 3 Plugs
I wanted to turn lights off/on when leaving/returning to the house at night. This plug connects to wifi so you can control whatever you want wherever you are. The app on your phone is very simple to use but it did not allow for keyboard entry so have your words/descriptions pre-typed for copying/pasting. I bought a package of three for future use. ... show more

  • Switch and app work well
Style: Indoor Size: 3 Plugs
As descelribed and fast fulfillment. May be one of the better designed switches. Small footprint doesn't block second outlet. Good app. Works with Apple/Android. Quick set up.

  • Incredibly unreliable
Style: Indoor Size: 3 Plugs
First the good - these GE cync plugs, as well as the cync bulbs, are easy to install. I have 8 in total - 6 plugs and 2 of their bulbs. The app is easy to navigate. I was able to sync the devices with the app, schedule timers, and occasionally have success with auto schedules (they call "routines" and on/off controls. Now, the bad - reliability. These are pretty much the worst "smart" gadget I have in my home. See photo above - this is my experience 90% of the time when I open the app. At least half of the plugs are unavailable and unable to be controlled at any given time. The cync smart bulb I have in the dining room completely stopped being functional 2 weeks ago but I'll save that for a separate review. If I reboot the app, I can usually get a plug to become available again. But the second I leave the app and come back again, it's a coin flip whether or not I can control the same plug again. As far as the scheduled routines go, I wanted a group of 4 plugs/bulbs to illuminate lamps at dusk, then turn off automatically at 10pm. Sounds nice, right? It worked for about a week. The routine is still active on the app, but seemingly because the GE products randomly cut out, the routine no longer does anything. Not a single light turns on at dusk. Useless. Until GE releases an update that actually makes these plugs functional, I can wholeheartedly say these are garbage. I'm currently looking at replacing with the leviton smart plug, which seems to have much better reliability from the reviews I read. ... show more

  • Christmas wish come true!
Style: Indoor Size: 3 Plugs
Had been using ge outlets for years that required a controller to connect to the network. The controller went to a subscription model so needed another solution for all of these Christmas cords. Insert the cync solution. These allowed connection to google home (cync app required) but with automation and a quick phrase you can turn on an entire house of lights. They also make outdoor outlets that I have used to augment the indoor outlets. I have used these now several years with no issues. Just be cognizant of the names assigned in the sync app for the devices (if you have many like I do) makes assignment in the google home app easier. One note when adding new outlets to an existing cync system you will have to add them first to cync app then to google home app - in your google home app go to services->works with google->under linked you should see the cync connection-> click on that and it will prompt with a couple of options ->select option check for new devices and it will pick up in google home the newly added devices. It took me a few try’s to get this figured out. The more you use these the more uses you will find for these! ... show more
