Description

Welcome to unlimited hot water demand, courtesy of GE Appliances tankless electric water heaters. Conserve energy and water by only using energy when hot water is in use, saving you money. This system easily provides enough hot water for a house or apartment. The space-saving and compact design takes up significantly less space than a tank style water heater. With an intuitive design, you can easily and conveniently change temperature settings in increments of 1 degree increments ranging from 86°F to 140°F. This unit heats up to 5.3 gallons per minute (GPM), run 2 showers and 4 faucets simultaneously in warm climates (Results are based on 72˚F inlet water temperature and 105˚F outlet water temperature). The self-modulating technology utilizes inlet and outlet temperature sensors to optimize energy usage and keep water temperature consistent. The scale reduction technology extends the life of the unit by shielding heating element from water and scale buildup. This tankless water heater uses standard 1/2-in NPT water connections and does not require venting for simple, wall-mounted water heater installation.

I am a property manager who owns many rental units. I purchased water heaters for one of my rental properties, and in total, I bought seven of them. Within less than a year, I had to replace them all. In one instance, the water heater inexplicably consumed excessive power, causing the main breaker to trip. Each time my tenant attempted to use the shower, the breaker would turn off. In another case, the breaker became extremely hot, prompting us to switch to a different brand. This water heater does not work as advertised. Water does not reach the set temperature. I live on the gulf coast in a very mild climate and have yet to see 120 degree water. It is extremely difficult to install as stated in other reviews. The unit has to be wired and plumbed before you can even put the cover on which has to be screwed on from the back. Then it hangs on the wall like a picture. It’s a horrible product. Do not purchase it. And the only way to get a refund or exchange it you have to ship it back. So you have to purchase a new one before you can even get a refund. Very disappointed. ... show more
