After purchasing a unit from another company that badly disappointed, I decided to give this a try. The box arrived heavily damaged but the unit itself was unharmed. It took about 30 minutes to install and try out. Within 10 minutes my 10’ x 10’ bedroom was cool! After testing it for a few days here is what I found: - It cools a small room easily and can even make the room cold. My bedroom is 10’ x 10’ and the unit quite easily cools it by tens of degrees within an hour or two. - It cools my entire condo of 720 square feet by a few degrees if I leave it on overnight. It feels like significant cooling because the air is dehumidified (I think). So even though it is only slightly cooler it feels pretty good. - Closing the door to my second bedroom it cools the remaining 600 square feet by about 5 degrees overnight and makes a significant and obvious improvement. So in short, this unit performs exactly as advertised and is good quality. I also like the design of the controls on the unit and the included remote control. I highly recommend. - Noise: I sleep with earplugs and with the unit on the “low fan” setting I can sleep fine. - Features: this model has a nice “swing” feature where the vent will slowly cycle up and down. This has the effect of oscillating the air flow for better coverage. Feels very nice, and it’s not something I’ve seen on other models. This model does not have WiFi connectivity. - Efficiency: My utility charges about 8 cents per kilowatt-hour, and this unit consumes 1350 Watts. So doing the math for the cost to run the air conditioner for a day: 24 Hours * 1.350 Kilowatts * .08 Dollars per Kw-Hour = $2.59. So, this unit will cost around $2.59 per 24 hours to run. Or, in 30 days it will add about $78 to my electric bill. ... show more

This portable AC unit does the job, that said it does not perform as well as in home ac and I can not compare it to a window ac....but during our heat wave in the PNW, when it go to 103 degrees, my room stayed at about 83, livable. And note, my room is large with high ceilings. It is very big, and runs very loud...as most portable ac units do. ... show more

    • Wonderful portable AC unit
The box was in pretty rough shape when it arrived, so I was concerned the unit would be damaged. One side seam was misaligned, but I was able to pop it back into place. My only complaint is that the window plate & extenders for the exhaust don't fit my windows. I'll need to figure out how to cut an inch off because the extender blocks some of the hole for the exhaust, so the exhaust doesn't click into place properly. Both extenders are the same length. It would have been nice if one was slightly shorter, but I understand my windows are unique in size & not the manufacturers fault. The wheels are very smooth & the chime sound when you turn on and off the unit is cute & cheerful. ... show more

Works great at keeping our little shed house cool. I love that it burns off the moisture it produces, so I don’t have to empty a tank like my old one. It’s about as loud as a normal window AC, but it kicks on and shuts off on its own. Would highly recommend!

Purchased this product after Hurricane Ida since my home AC unit was destroyed by the storm. The noise does not bother me as it sounds like generator we had to use for 3 wks after storm, lol. Would recommend this product as its perfect for bedroom or smaller living areas.

Overall an excellent purchase. I don't regret it one bit. Loud as a jet engine, but what else can you expect from General Electric? Pros: Cools an entire 2 bedroom apartment from 95deg to 65deg in 5 minutes flat. Cons: Very Loud
