It took me a while to purchase this hose because reviews and description were a little confusing on size. I needed a 1/2" hose for my generator that would eventually go to a 3/4" on the female NPT end at the generator. This hose has a 1/2" male quick disconnect with a 1/2" FLARE female end. If you need to buy fittings for the female end be sure to buy FLARE NPT fittings, not just regular NPT. Personally I wound up buying a 1/2" male flare to 3/4" male NPT adapter for the generator end. The hose does come with a reducer that reduces the 1/2" female flare to a 3/8" female flare. With all that in mind the hose seems to be decent quality and is much much lower priced than some name brand hoses. We will see how it holds up over the years, but so far I am happy with the quality and of course the price. ... show more
