    • Warning: Red Valve is defective & LEAKS
Used this a few times since I purchased it ~8 months ago, from the beginning the device showed issues with the red valve leaking propane, which were seemingly fixed by tightening the screw, so I didnt want to hassle with a return. Fast forward to now and the red valve leaks no matter what, as in it leaks PROFUSELY (it drips propane, sizzling "hot" from transitioning from liquid to gas!!!), it burnt my hand!!! The worsening of the vale is leading to a belief the valve was defective all along. Im contacting the company to make good and replace the item, will update if/when they do, but if they're selling defective/cheap valves I'd stay away from this product. ... show more

I initially thought I'd needed the gauge to judge how much propane is in the refillable tank. I didn't need it. The Flame King refillable 1lb tanks I bought bleed off when filling. A steady stream indicates the tank is full. The problem I had using it was that there was not enough clearance to operate the gate valve with the required gloves on.
