This is a geat little propane heater for the garage or outdoor camping area. There isn't too much to do to put it together. Just simply slide the heating element onto the stand and you are done. It come with a really nice propane hose and a lighter that produces a spark. You can also use a small 2 lb bottle or any size propane bottle with the hose. Only a couple of small downsides. The element gets red hot and needs to be kept away from flamables more than most heaters. Also, the temperature knob takes a little getting used to because its hard to see the off-low-medium-hi values when it is in the heat position. In fact, you have to put your face right in front of the red hot heating element to see the values of this knob (bad idea guys). Overall it is easy to use and puts out a lot of heat. ... show more

Hooked it up and worked easily. The thermal switch works correctly as well. Gets very hot very fast! With the way the grill is designed you could also cook on it. Just be careful not to spill your food as there is no guard. The included "Spark Gun" is a joke, tho. The spark probe doesn't come close enough to the end of the barrel to create a spark that'll actually ignite the propane. Stick with a long match or butane grill lighter. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. This compact heater is quite impressive. It comes with a stand that proves really handy during use and has the ability to transform from a heater to a small stove with a simple tilt onto its back. The inclusion of a propane tank hose is a thoughtful addition, particularly for those times when you need extended use. Important note: the provided Piezo lighter, or similar spark-based lighters, should not be used. I attempted to use it, and after several tries, I experienced a significant whoosh from the ignition of the gas cloud after the spark was finally produced (I knew better but had to try it for the sake of evaluation). The instructions recommend using a match, and it's puzzling why they included that lighter in the kit. Personally, I opted for a long lighter with a flame for safety. One small downside is the control knob's positioning. It's okay if you are using the unit as a stove, but when used as a heater, it's a bit awkward. You need to turn your head sideways to see the settings. During my initial tests, I thought there were only two settings, indicated by distinct clicks. However, I discovered that you can adjust the heat more precisely by turning the knob very slowly, like cracking a safe. I intend to use this heater in my shed, at my workbench, and keep it on hand for emergency preparedness. Overall, it's a nice little unit. ... show more

With fall and winter upon us do anyone really have enough emergency heating around the house? I don't think so. I live in the Omaha, NE area and winters can be brutal. God forbid the power goes out and there's no heat. It can be very dangerous. That's why I decided to order the Gaspowor multi use portable propane heater/cooker. This propane heater delivers up to 18,000 BTU's of heat and can also be used to cook when it is laid on it's back. I love things that are functional like this and can be used for more than one thing. It's obvious this heater would be great for camping and or outdoors but knowing I have some backup heat for an emergency is where this item really stands out. What's really nice though, is this heater also comes with an 8.8 foot propane hose that lets you connect the heater to 5 to 40 lb. propane tanks and a piezo lighter to ignite the eh burner.     • Very Nice, Portable Little Heater That Pumps Out Heat
This heater is nice and portable, which is the number one selling point to me, but it has a lot going for it. Besides its size and ease of transport, it really does a good job of creating and directing heat. I took it camping when the temperatures were dipping in the mid-30's at night and this heater was cozy to have around. Added bonus for this heater - it comes with its own spark unit, so you don't have to stick your fingers in front of it with a lighter...instead click the sparker while your hands are clear of the front where flames may be directed. Another bonus - it works with the small, disposable propane tanks and it also has a hose to connect it to a full-size propane tank. The small, camp-sized propane tank gave me an evenings-worth of heat, but I didn't blast it on high either. On the high setting, I would imagine that it would drain a small tank pretty quickly. ... show more

I've never lit one of these before, so it took me a bit to get familiar with it, including the piezo lighter that came with it. I thought it didn't work, until I realized what it was! The first time I've used a piezo lighter too. I read the instructions, then watched a video. It came with the hoses and connections to use a small propane container, or the larger tank. All in all, after all my bumbling, it lit beautifully and puts off a ton of heat. In the pic above, I had it on the absolute lowest setting, and you can still see the warm glow. This little gas heater / cooker works exceedingly well. The assembly instructions are pretty bad, but it's fairly easy to figure out. You basically just slide the gas head onto the frame (slot in the back of the head). Screw the gas regulator in tight and connect to a propane cylinder. Open the propane, open the valve and then press the red safety valve switch to let gas through while you light it. It comes with a lighter spark tool too. When you want to cook on it, simply rotate the stand 90 degrees and it becomes a small stove with the heater facing upward. I'm happy with this little heater / cooker. ... show more

    • Just what I needed
This is the perfect portable propane heater for the upcoming winter time. I have a car shop area that does not have heating and this was really easy to attach to my propane tank and heat up the area perfectly. It’s nice and durable and it works amazingly. With it being 18,000 BTU I wasn’t sure if it would put out a lot of heat but it definitely does. A great value for money and will come in very handy this winter season. ... show more
