    • Did not fit our stove, so measure carefully
The GASHELL Gas Stove Cover with Handles did not fit our stove. This is because getting the exact measurements proved challenging. While our stove is standard, the stove top grate is sloped such that the base is wider than the top. This means the cover could not slide down correctly. Therefore, we cannot use it. I highly recommend you get exact measurements before buying this product. The wood is really high quality, and the holes are designed to allow gas to vent properly. We will not use it as a stove cover, but we will as a decorate platter or a center piece on a table. ... show more

This is an awesome piece and beautiful! Fits the top of my gas stove, but not over the cast iron burner covers. That's okay, because it still looks awesome. The craftsmanship is top-quality and the materials are also sturdy and top-quality. Acacia is known for it's natural water-resistant qualities. My only issue is that there are two holes on either side for putting a handle, but then there are three holes on the front side and rear side. Why? What am I supposed to do with those? Why are they there? I ended up purchasing different handles at Hobby Lobby to put on all four sides so that the holes would be covered. They are black cast iron to match my stove and hang flush, so as not to poke out. Now that those are on, I'm simply overjoyed with this piece! I plan to 'season' it with mineral oil and ultimately do a wood-burned design on the top center. I highly recommend. ... show more

This stove cover works as they say and is beautiful and well-constructed. I’m glad they added extra holes on the side to keep the gas from building up under the cover. My issue is I need to remove it to use my oven (not just the stove top). The vent for my oven is just below the instrument panel and vents the heat right on the cover, making it very hot and creates condensation on the tray. There is no where in the description on how it will handle the heat and I worry it will warp or cause a fire. ... show more

    • Solid and looks nice. But what's with the holes?
Overall, a nice stove top cover. My only complaint is that there are holes drilled on the longer sides too. There are a set of three holes on each of the longer sides. The outside of the three holes matches the handles (which go on the short sides). I could see having the holes to give you the option to use the handles on either side (although I don't think you could balance the board using the handles on the long side), but then what's with the third hole? Not that big of a deal, but for the price I'd expect a finished product. Otherwise, it does fit well and looks great. Works well as an extra work surface in our tiny kitchen. ... show more

I love my gas range but when I'm grilling outside or using my other small appliances, I want to be able to have more countertop space. I also like it to look a bit cleaner than my kids sometimes leave it. When I received this, I was impressed! The handles went on easily with a Phillips head screwdriver. I tried it out first as a tray on my ottoman and it looked great. It might be a nice excuse to get a bigger ottoman. I would be able to use it as a serving table with this size of a "tray". When I lifted it onto my range, I immediately noticed the weight. This is a solid piece of lovely wood. It's nicely polished and smooth, and the sealant on it it a nice shine without being glossy. The total surprise was the wood finish matched my cabinetry!! Oh my goodness it looks amazing. And I'm glad of the vent holes on either long side, since this design of cover envelopes the range totally (including the 5 cast iron burners which run side to side, end to end and aren't circles or squares). ... show more
