I'm taking a moment to review because this is a really high quality product for the price. Love the bottom watering tray and nice, heavy plastic cells and top. This will surely last me multiple growing seasons, unlike so many of the humidity dome seed starter trays out there. The media could not be loaded. They are flexible and need to be supported well when you carry them. The soil and water weighs down the tray, and they may bend a bit in the center if you add too much weight. The tops that cover the ventilation holes need to be fixed before they fit or they end up just flying off with the slightest bump. Also I will have to tape the sides down to avoid the wind carrying away my lids and trays. I like them for easy gardening and they’re the perfect pot size for my pansy starts. If you don’t want to spend a lot on expensive, sturdier trays, these are great and should last a few growing seasons if taken care of during use and storage. I can stack them 2-3 trays high without the domes bending and warping. They came packed well in a giant box, no damages to anything. Overall good purchase! ... show more

I love that the clear lids are quite tall, and have adjustable vent holes. Also very happy that the base tray is watertight. My old growing tray had holes that allowed water to seep out through the bottom that ruined a polished surface. I wish that the actual cells that the seeds are placed in were maybe split into 2 or more pieces, as some of my seeds sprouted the very next day and quickly outgrew the lid, but I now know I have to think more carefully about which seeds I choose to share a tray. I like the size and shape of the trays, they take plenty of seeds but are compact enough to remain rigid and firm. I have my second sewing this season just going in, and they were very easy to clean. They feel as though they will last well, and I would purchase the same brand if I needed more than the 5 trays in the set. The price was very good value, I also bought some seed starting blocks of dried soil that just needed rehydrating, and it was a quick and easy way to get seeds started quickly. I recommend adding a heat mat, the trays on my heat mat germinated incredibly quickly and have grown robust seedlings. ... show more

    • Warps when in a warm storage area

I live in Spokane Washington and I got this last year before they had the vents on the lids. It worked very well. The issue was once I had all my seeds sprouted and planted in the ground I stored them in my backyard shed to use this spring. When I got them out I discovered that they were warped as if melted and was curious as to what caused it. So I put them in the small greenhouse I just got and noticed that until I put dirt in them they continue to warp day after day shrinking to some degree. This continued until I put dirt in them. The only conclusion I have is that because my shed got warm that caused them to all start warping I doubt I will be able to use them next year. This is a good product but it is not built to last in a warm storage area wherever you store it it must be cool. ... show more
