Excellent, quality product... slightly 'challenging' (but not bad) to fold because of locking mechanism but I'm not sure how it could be designed differently because locking mechanism is essential for safety. This garden stool, garden kneeler (with handles to help get back to standing position) is a blessing for Seniors and younger gardeners alike... if you're into gardening and/or other projects, it's lightweight, convenient and comfortable to use and a good investment... your back, knees and body will thank you and, hopefully, hurt less and last longer! The stool/kneeler is reasonably stable depending on the surface where used (eg concrete vs soft/wet ground)... Use appropriate caution not to lean too far back or push backwards for concern of tipping/falling backwards and/or tipping/falling when returning to your standing position.
