  • Work great and really not that challenging to install.
Size Name: 0.225X1.75X34
call any local garage door repair place and they won't sell you the springs because they claim it's too dangerous to do if you are not a professional. However, a bit of common sense and patience, it can be done pretty easily. I was glad to find these on FB and they were better priced than the local places. Install went smooth, and my garage door is back to functioning as it was before, and I'm not out hundreds of dollars for a professional to do the job for me. ... show more

  • Perfect replacement for existing door spring
Size Name: 0.207X1.75X24
I have two 90 lb single-wide, 8ft wide by 7 ft tall, garage doors. I did not need a dual-spring set and only needed the right spring but could not find anyone who had a single in stock. I found this dual spring at Amazon where the price was low enough to justify purchasing. Cheaper than having a garage door service come out and replace. I will keep the left spring and use on the other garage door (flipped to the right side) when it requires replacement. I like that the tensioning bars are included with the springs. It will take several years before I can determine if these are a reliable product. This was my first time replacing a spring and I have advanced home DIY skills. I had the old spring removed and the new one installed in about an hour. If you've never replaced one before, watch a video online before install; they are easy to find. Doing it wrong can be dangerous but doesn't require a specialist to perform. I do not recommend if you don't have DIY skills. Make sure you order the proper spring. Measure your spring and match exactly. If you want a longer lasting spring you can increase the wire diameter along with a length increase to increase it's expected life. There are websites that assist in calculating the exact spring needed. There are 4 important parameters. 1) the direction of the wind although with a dual spring install you need both right-hand wind (goes on the left side) and left-hand wind (goes on the right side). The right-hand wind usually has the cone painted red. 2) the inside spring diameter, these are 1.75 inches. 3) The wire size or wire diameter which can be measured with calipers or by measuring the length of 10 coils and dividing the result by 10. These springs are 0.207" and 4) The length of the spring. Make this measurement on the broken spring or a spring not wound under tension. The spring grows in length as it's wound under tension. These springs are 24" in length. A longer spring provides less up force while a shorter spring provides more up force given that they are all wound to a fixed number of revolutions. If your lucky, some springs have all these markings on them and no measurements are required. I wasn't so lucky. Watch an online video or 2 before installing and take note of all safety tips. Be smart and be safe. Call a professional if your not comfortable installing. ... show more

  • No problems during install
Size Name: 0.225X1.75X30
To be honest I just needed a set of springs to be shipped to me as soon as possible, so there weren't much going into the selection process except for choosing one that has a decent amount of reviews. The springs are clean and I don't see any defects. Comes with two basic steel bars that definitely did the job. Only time will tell how long these springs last. I ordered a gauge thicker and chose a longer spring that resulted in the same IPPT, so technically they should last a bit longer. Let's hope I don't have to deal with the fix for another 10 years. ... show more

  • Easy install-just be careful
Size Name: 0.207X1.75X26
Springs were easy to install. I watched a few youtube videos and decided to give it a try. About a 1.5 hour job and I saved between 400-500 bucks based on what a few local garage door places wanted to charge for the job. One of my springs broke, so I had to unwind the remaining spring to begin the process. Be careful when you first start unwinding as the first 5 or so turns hold a lot of tension but it's completely manageable and not at all as hard as online instructions would have you believe. With that being said, use common sense. It is dangerous, just be careful. Loading up the new springs is fine until you start getting toward the last turns. You do start to feel the tension build but, same thing, just be present and aware. I marked my rods with permanent marker so I knew they were fully seated before turning. ... show more

  • These were the exact springs I had on my 7 foot garage door
Size Name: 0.225X1.75X27
The media could not be loaded. This was a like for like replacement. It came with the springs folded over in a box and two rods to tension the springs. Be safe, always stay away from the rods when they’re on the spring. If you don’t feel comfortable, don’t do it.

  • Product description uses renderings rather be than actual photos for a reason.
Size Name: 0.207X1.75X26
The springs arrived looking worse than the old springs I was replacing. They were covered in dirt and debris as well as a thin coat of rust. In the attached photo, you can see where the instructions were stuck to the spring via rust. It almost appears as if they were stored at the factory out in the open, partially exposed to the weather. Also they were packaged in a smaller box by folding them in half and zip tying the ends. Probably not bad for them, but who knows? I was able to clean off most of the debris and rust and installed them without any issues. I would’ve returned them, but needed the garage door working ASAP. We’ll see how long they last… ... show more
