I'm using 2 of these on each of my 280AH LiFePO4 batteries to keep them above freezing along with a HONEYWELL T6031A-1029 to control the temperature setting. I have a 3/4" air gap between the pads and the battery cells. It is amazing how much heat these little heating pads kick out. Mine are in an unheated location in the Northern part of the United States. Wiring heating pads are VERY simple. Connect a positive and negative 12 volt DC wire to the leads and the pad heats as long as the voltage is applied. You will need some sort of external temperature control to tell the heating pad when to go on and off. ... show more

    • USELESS, DON'T BUY THEM!
These "warmers", TOTALLY SUCK! Not only did they not include any instructions, there's also NO WAY TO CONTACT the manufacturer, regarding HOW TO WIRE THEM! I ordered 2 of them because, although I had read the reviews, I knew that they didn't have a power source plug on them- I have lots of wires and power sources that I plan to use to make them! However, once I hooked them up, they still not still did not get very warm!!! I NOW ,TOTALLY REGRET BUYING THEM and ANNOYED THAT I SPENT SO MUCH PRECIOUS TIME trying to get them to work AND reaching out to Amazon customer service only to find out that the manufacturer has no phone # or a way to contact them for powering help! ... show more

    • This has solve a tricky problem
I have a mid 80s car where the lock solenoids get moisture in them and freeze. Over the years I tried ALL different lubricants and methods. I eventually wrapped the solenoid with this heater and tie wrapped pipe insulation over it. I put a small button rocker under the armrest and leave it on during freezing weather. It only runs with the car on and dries out the solenoid so it wont freeze. It uses very little power and while the wires were on the delicate side,,, I made sure there was no pressure on them where they exit the pad.     • Pricey for Size but Work Well
These are small at roughly 5" x 5", but they heat fast and evenly enough. I didn't use a temperature probe, but they were uncomfortably hot once they reached max temperature. I'm guessing the rating is pretty accurate. My only complaint is that these heating pads cost quite a bit per square inch, but this brand isn't any worse than others. I'm using these to heat a battery compartment for Lithium Iron Phosphate batteries, to keep them warm enough to charge in extreme cold. They work well for that purpose. ... show more

Nice heat pad, good value for the price, it does not have a adhesive side. You could put one on. Gets warm fast but not really hot. Get for my purposes. Very happy would buy again

I have two of these, each in a small plastic enclosure. Each hooked up to a thermostatic controller (STC-1000). Both containers are lined with thermal insulation. Probes placed 1” above the heater with a small 30mm fan to circulate the air. Neither one will get to the desired temperature of 37C. Struggling to maintain 34C. ... show more
