    • This is the best electric fence switch that I have been able to find.
I tried a standard knife switch that lasted about a week. This switch so far has worked perfectly and the connections are well insulated so it’s not easy to get shocked.

Simple to install with good instructions. We've had it in place for about 2 months now and it is working just fine. This should save the cord on the electric fence charger as we no longer have to unplug it and plug it back in.

    • Forget the Knife-style and Throw style switched, this one works and is built to last!
WOW, this sure is better designed than the throw-style switches from Zareba that we have been using. Those switches always broke right at the pivot point after a few months of use and also often "froze up" due to the cold and ice during the winter. This Fence Cutoff Switch isolates the wires so you are less apt getting shocked. The rotary switch is easier to use and everything is pretty well sealed up to prevent freezing, etc. It is definitely better engineered for safety, ease of use and, most importantly, durability. ... show more

While the overall design of the switch is admirable and considering most others don’t offer a way to cover or insulate away from the contacts, the rather flimsy plastic knob switch, still allowed current to pass through (in the off position) promptly leading me to start a return/refund. Tester showed a consistent 700-800 Volts still passing through (see picture.) Arcing within the switch can also be heard. Products like this need to SAFELY WORK every time you need them to. Unacceptable. Perhaps a quality control issue, and I got a bad one, but I’m not chancing replacement with the same switch. ... show more
