My oven died, but just the oven heating element (broiler and stovetop are fine). I have an expensive, fancy toaster that absolutely sucks, so I had been looking for a toaster oven already and decided to size up a little since it was doing the job of two appliances for the time being. This would have been a little too much for the kitchen in the house I grew up in. I have a big kitchen now with tons of counter space so it's fine, but if you don't this might not be for you. The toast function is a little silly to figure out but it works great for baking so far. I've made cupcakes, 2 casseroles, toast of course, a cake, and baked some bread sticks. All came out good, it does cook really evenly but it does tend to cook the outside before the inside is completely done so I have to cover a lot with foil (no big). I haven't had a chance to play with too many other settings yet but I am very pleased so far. It's beautiful and easy to clean. It does get very hot on the outside when cooking, but it also cools down very quickly. I like that it has two racks that I can adjust as needed, and that the crumb tray can be removed completely for cleaning. The light inside stays on the whole time which is a little odd but makes it easy to see what's inside. The door is completely glass so you can watch it easily. It also came very well packaged, nothing was broken or even dented. I wish the timer wasn't just a big dial and the toast settings were a little clearer, but overall I love it. ... show more

May be my best Amazon purchase ever. Did not imagine it could be this good. Besides being beautiful and spacious, the convection feature works flawlessly and almost silently, and the entire oven is a top quality build. The control knobs are excellent, etc. Have owned many toaster ovens over the years. This is the best one, by far. But I think we need to stop calling this (and other brands) toaster ovens. They are ovens. Toasting is probably the least of its performance. If that's what you need I respectfully suggest you buy a toaster. You can bake a whole chicken in this and almost every other thing you would do in a conventional oven. Didn't think I would like the blue, but it's actually beautiful and I'm glad I took the plunge, especially because of what a solid build it is. ... show more

This is theeeeeee best toaster oven I have had. It has two shelves it’s roomy yet not overpowering my counter top !!!!! Love the vintage blue aqua !!!!! So far I have toasted, baked , broiled , and everything has come out wonderful. And it doesn’t get so blistering hot while it is cooking or baking !!!!! Very easy to use. I'll admit I bought this toaster oven for its looks! It's beautiful and fits the esthetic of my kitchen perfectly. Unfortunately, it's only so-so as a toaster. The heating elements on the bottom don't seem to get very hot, so I have to monitor the toast and flip it over part way through so both sides get equally toasted. I have found that selecting "convection" rather than "toast" does toast the bread more quickly and more evenly, but I still have to turn it over part way. Otherwise I've only used it to bake tofu so far, and it was fine for that. Eventually I'll try cookies, brownies, or something similar, and I hope the convection function will be enough to make up for the lackadaisical attitude of the lower burners. ... show more

This review is for Galanz GRH1209RDRM151 Large 6-Slice Retro Toaster Oven. Purchased this toaster oven almost 1.5 years ago - so definitely gave it a good usage before writing this review. We are primarily using it as a Toaster. But on occasion have used it as a Convection Oven. Overall it has been very reliable and easy to use. Knobs are NOT metal, they are plastic covered with Chrome paint. But the fact they are large and very easy to turn (not slippery, because they are grippy on the sides) makes it very easy to use. The chrome paint on the ones that are used more often does starting to chip a bit, but only a minuscule amount (like the size of pin head). This toaster oven is very quiet - what I mean is that it is made of good metal (not thin, cheap metal) and it does not expand or contract as temperature changes and therefore does not make any popping noises like a lot of other toaster ovens would make (as metal expands and contracts). The crumb tray is easy to remove when the door is open. And of course the Cherry-Red color add a Pop to the kitchen. The only minor issue it the temperature does not seem to be extremely precise - so you have to play around with it until you get the feel for when it is too much or too little. ... show more

I've had a few toaster ovens thru the years including convection, but this is prolly the nicest one for a really great price! I may get another just to have a spare for when this eventually breaks in 5 years. :) So many different modes are really great. Does an EXCELLENT job toasting bread or english muffins, does it quickly and doesn't dry out the bread. Works great for pizza, a 12 inch pan will slide in and balance perfectly. If you are looking for the perfect toaster oven at the right price, get this one! ... show more

The first 3 times I have used it, it worked perfectly! But on the 4th try it burnt all my sublimation cups. No matter how low I got on the dial, still burnt them. Going to invest in a separate thermometer and see if that works.
