Bumped this rating up because despite my unsatisfaction with the company support, the oven itself is very nice. My “must-haves” for a microwave were: 1) A +30 second button (not 60), which on this one is big and easy, in the middle of the knob. 2) An actual handle on the door instead of a button (although the hinges feel a bit flimsy). 3) Holds large dinner plates. This one holds 12” and yet the overall size is compact. Other nice features: The clock/display is white and extremely bright. The overall retro look (red) is very cool. The clock also can do 24-hr mode if you use military time. OLD review but still unresolved: The process for registering the warranty online is broken. To enter "date of purchase" it doesn't let you pick anything later than 31 Dec 2023. I tried anyway because my receipt shows the correct date, but when I click "Submit" it just spins forever without showing any result or progress, and I don't receive the email confirmation. ... show more

I got this item within 48 hours, which is pretty important when you live on your own, you don't like to cook, and your ancient microwave craps out. Unlike its predecessor, this one is compact, pretty to use, and bonus for a nostalgia enthusiast like me, it's really fun to look at with its light blue '60s (I think) retro look. The only thing is I haven't figured out how to set the clock from military time to regular time, but that's because I don't want to put the effort in to figure it out. My 23 yr old son decided to heat up his day old take out in the metal container and ended up frying our microwave. So I went out and bought this. Came a few days later and WHAMMO! - made the kitchen cooler just by being there. The chrome look is clean and shiny and really ties the kitchen together. Spacious inside. Big enough to reheat a whole Costco rotisserie chicken. Easy to use. Just spin the dial and press it to start it up. Would definitely buy it again if my son destroys it. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. We love the look, function and style of our fire engine RED Galanz microwave! It heats excellently, didplay is bright and dials/ settings easy to use. Only problem so far is rollercring was damaged. Hopefully we can get just that replaced. We hope for many years of service with this product! Definitely recommend! We got 1.1 cu. I'm absolutely in love with my new red retro style choice! I was afraid of choosing red since i wasn't sure how I'd like it in my kitchen, but it accents it very well! I was extremely happy to find 1000W in this style since most retro styles I've found run from only 700W to 900W. I've read reviews saying this microwave is loud, but mine is actually more quiet than my previous microwave. So it just depends on what you're used to. I'm extremely happy with my choice of this red retro stylish unit and the quality is great, so far. I was going to order the green originally, but reviews were saying some were not getting the same green as shown on here, but instead were getting different hues of green and even blue, so i decided on the red and I LOOOVE IT!! ❤️👍 ... show more

I recently moved into a new apartment and it was built in the 40s. The apartment is reasonably small but my kitchen is tiny and the outlet situation is a bit of a challenge. I bought a Toshiba microwave and realized quickt that it was muuuuch too big for the space. I returned it and decided to buy this retro aesthetic microwave instead. I was hesitant as it is only 700 watts and after reading reviews I wasn't sure if I was just paying for a pretty look rather than something that works well. Although, I haven't had it that long, she works wonderfully. I have to warn you that I do not do hardcore cooking with my microwave. I do use it to defrost, rather I use it for the lightweight reheats, microwave meals, and soups. I was worried that perhaps I would have to run it for several minutes more but that hasn't been the case. Sometimes I pop it in for an extra 30 seconds and it is fine. I have noticed slightly that there seems to be hot spots but for the most part, if the food is something I can stir then it makes the rest of the food hot and it hasn't been a problem. If you are short on space then this may just be a saving grace. It is wonderfully small although my fiestware 10 inch plate does fit snugly. It is beautiful and easy to use. ... show more
