Installed on a 2018 Ford Explorer Sport. No instructions, video was marginally useful. It does work, however. I removed the hood pad for ease of install; still needs to be replaced in pics. I used rivet-nuts (8mm) into the hood on the front-most position; worked well. It is a tight fit but does work and beats the silly stock prop rod. For the price of the car, should have come with them. BTW, if you don't do rivet-nut, you need to, best stuff. ... show more

For what should be a very simple install, I'm over 1/2 hour in trying to watch the very SHORT HORRIBLY QUICK VIDEO over again. I've decided to look to the internet for a decent set of instructions to follow. No too happy right now. How in the world will I ever compress these to attach ?

Hands down the best solution out there for Ford engineerings cheap hood support. personally found the install to be very straightforward although I had to make some slight modifications to get the hood bolts secured in place. Over all install took me roughly 30 minutes and I am extremely happy with the results. ... show more
