I know, I should have assumed, and I did expect it to be heavy, but it didn't say anywhere on the listing how heavy it actually was. First the pros: my 9 year old loves this vanity. I have assembled many furniture items and this was one of the easiest pieces I’ve ever assembled, and it has 5 drawers (drawers are the worst!). The instructions were clear, no missing pieces. The con: I have assembled many furniture items and the quality of this piece is slightly less than other pieces. Some of the pieces are chipped which is disappointing, but I did use paint to touch up so they’re less noticeable. I love my vanity. It’s very sturdy. The only complaint that I had is my chair. My chair sometimes falls apart, but it’s easy to put back together together. The lights are extremely bright and still haven’t went out since I did my purchase. It’s amazing. The space that I have is amazing. They changed the design of this vanity. We've ordered one in the past and the lights attached through the mirror and looked nice and clean with no wires showing. This one has you using double sided tape to attach the lights with the wires showing on the mirror. The photo they use makes it look as if the wires are in perfectly straight lines and don't look like wires, but this is near impossible to do. No refund policy from seller. I'd consider this deceptive advertising. We ordered this a second time because we wanted the exact same one as before, but we were very disappointed to learn of this design change. Easy to break. Do not use any power tools and hand tighten mildly when assembling. One of the parts didn't have holes drilled correctly and we asked for a replacement part, which they shipped - in the wrong color (black). We've yet to receive a replacement for the replacement part. Ordered as needed a smaller vanity for my bathroom. I assembled this pretty much all on my own. Had help when attaching the mirror to upper portion as it is heavy and not easy for one person. And then extra hand when putting bottom together and lifting top onto bottom. It took me 2 days by myself and about 30 minutes of second persons help. I started first by sorting out my parts, then assembled all the drawers. Be very mindful of the 3 main lower parts and that you get all the metal parts, in the correct places, it can get confusing, just keep looking at the pictures constantly, lol. Very sturdy, love the locking devices provided, really makes a difference. Have had lots of complements from visitors in last few months. ... show more

Overall it does look nice once you assemble it - something that was a pain to do. It doesn’t feel like amazing quality, some of the pieces I got were already scratched/chipped, and then with how the lightbulbs/lighting works for this vanity, it makes it a little hard to clean the entirety of the mirror. Wouldn’t really recommend unless it was for a preteen/teen who needs a nice thing but nothing too fancy. ... show more

This item was so easy to assemble...even a caveman could do it! The instructions were crystal clear, and the parts fit together perfectly. This item is made of durable material, is sturdy, and very well made. Our daughter loves this new addition to her bedroom!
