I like this beauty stool very much. I’d had my previous one for about 13 years and it was of a similar style with the metal salon-style foot, and it squeaked endlessly. It also had a hard, molded seat with a small back that swiveled and I had to be very careful how I sat or it could throw me out! It was also too high so I always kept it on the lowest position, but it was too high for my new makeup mirror so I shopped for a new one. This stool is lightweight (my previous one was very heavy to lift), so comfy and soft, but sturdy like it will last. The seat is generous, cushy and flat, and swivels quietly. Would like the upper height to go about 2 inches more. Very easy to assemble and very cushy , comfortable seat. Fits perfectly under bathroom counter. Bought a second one for another room. Does not move unless you pu and move which makes it very sturdy.
