I have a daughter living in a trailer with multiple slideouts. She is traveling around the country while working eight hours a day via internet on her computer. She had been wanting a standing desk. This base comes apart easily to store when moving to a new site. She's using a plain door as the desk top. The base is stable and supports the top well enough for her purposes without attachiing it. I was not expecting the weight capacity to be so high! I grabbed this because I was wanting to build a new desk. Ended up purchasing a 72" x 31" x 1.5" butcher block, cut to 70" x 30" and installed on the desk frame. Even with the 90 lbs of desk top, my monitor, computer, and 3D printer, this table has no issues raising or lowering. This is a very sturdy desk frame. Like, withstand the test of time type sturdy. Assembly was easy peasy, I was done in about 30 minutes if that. The motor is almost silent I swear I can’t hear it and I am very sensitive to sound. It moves relatively fast compared to others I have had.
