Very smooth operation and quiet. My desk top size is 47"x 23.5" Not the 48"x 24" advertised , this is the ONLY fault I have found. Any thing else and I will update here. I'm old and disable but still nimble and this was easy. Construction was simple with the included directions plus I did watch the video from this item's page. It's supposed to be 48" wide but mine is 47". That's no problem as everything else was as it is supposed to be. Even though I have a power screw driver I used the included allen wrench on everything to insure that I didn't over tighten and strip a screw head. The photo shows the desk at 40.5 inches with a 24" monitor. I have not totally made the transition to this desk yet but really looking forward to it for health reasons. Sitting for 12+ hours daily is not healthy! Be well, be safe, be happy. ... show more

The desk works great! The only thing I would watch out for is the orientation of each piece. Make sure they completely match the instructions so you don’t have to undo any steps.

I bought this desk just as I was (1) moving and (2) transitioning to a remote-first job. I can't speak much to the setup because I had someone assemble it at the new apartment while I was packing at the old one, but I have to say this: desk doesn't feel like the usual mixed-quality knockoffs of popular products you find on Amazon. The motor raises the tabletop quietly, and the buttons were so intuitive that I programmed the heights I liked even without reading the manual. (Just hold down each button while the desk is at the level you want to set it to!) I stay seated most of the time, especially in winter because I like to keep my space heater on the desk, but sometimes I'll stand for a meeting and it takes no more than ten seconds for the desk to get in position. As one perk, as I was arranging all my cables in cable boxes, I realized I could just raise the desk and sit cross-legged underneath without slouching while I plugged things in. This is my first standing desk, so that was a fun thing to figure out I can do. My one minor complaint is that the desk accumulates dust easily and visibly. I don't use the mat it came with, which may be part of the problem, but I'd take a spacious and functional desk over one that's more easily dusted. One other aspect I can't exactly call a complaint is that the plug for this desk is about as big as my iPhone 12 mini, so it'll definitely take up one outlet by itself and can't be shoved into a cable management box like all my other plugs can. Note: I bought two Oropy 21-inch monitor rises that help a LOT with this desk. I keep my two monitors on the risers and my two laptops (one work, one personal) under each riser. Those risers are essential for me, especially since I'm coming from desks that had hutches or drawers or other storage—without them, my opinion of the desk would be a bit lower. ... show more
