I almost bypassed this one due to the negative reviews. However, there were far more positives so I decided to go for it. This is the exact size I was searching for. When it arrived, the first thing I did was to check the parts list to make sure everything was there. Did a quick browse through the instructions, which were very good, and started the assembly process. I can't believe how easy it was to assemble! No tools!! The directions weren't really clear about where the black plastic rings went but I figured it out. It took me about 20 minutes to assemble. I am a female octogenarian and if I can assemble this, anyone can. When finished, I turned it up right and tested for stability. Was perfect. If the leg pieces are tightened properly, there's no reason for it NOT to be sturdy. The plastic legs don't look like plastic, they look like wood. The shelves were not scratched or marred in any way but there was a whitish ridge around the edges. No problem - that's why they invented permanent markers. I just ran the black marker around those edges and it worked perfectly. I put a 50" TV on top of the stand and it looks GREAT!! As for the fabric drawers - they aren't the greatest but from the front view, they look nice. They're probably something I would never use and should I decide not to, that shelf could be used for other things. Bottom line is, I got more than my money's worth with this shelf. I do not understand the negative reviews. If it is put together properly, it is very sturdy. Any imperfections on the pressed wood can easily be fixed with a black pen. Moved cross country and needed a stand for my new TV and games systems. It does the Job. It came in great condition and fits my apartment great. It is very easy to set up, no tools needed and I had it up in 10 mins. The baskets on the bottom are flimsy, but work for holding my game systems and controller. Easy to assemble, feels sturdy and looks good. A nice TV stand, especially for the price. However I just hate the drawers, they're made of the thinnest fabric I have ever felt, they don't feel sturdy at all, and worst of all the TV stand isn't designed for them to be neatly pulled in and out. The sections that the drawers go in are wide enough that the drawers slide all over the place when you interact with them, it's really annoying. We don't intend to really use the stuff we're storing in them too often (old wires, DVD's, etc) so the functionality isn't a huge deal for us personally, but they're still lousy and feel like an afterthought. This is definitely one of those you get what you pay for situations. I really like this tube assembly furniture. I have several pieces that have been with me for decades. Assembly is a cinch. The tubes are usually plastic and just screw in. The best part is if you move or have to store it, you can disassemble them easily. I bought this particular TV stand with the knowledge I was only going to use the bottom half of it since my tv is sitting on a riser and I just basically needed a short stand to make it the height I prefer. Unfortunately the two pieces I needed were the only two pieces that came scratched up. All the pieces were filthy, as if someone stepped on them. In one panel, the scratch is long, but not too deep. On the top panel, it's much deeper, almost cut into the surface. Once the tv was on it, you don't see it as much, but I'm not fond of something I buy new already looking like it got beat up. The fabric drawers are very chintzy with a piece of thin cardboard in the bottom of each. I'm not sure what you could store in there that wouldn't blow out the bottom when you slide the drawers out. I'm going to add another piece of thick cardboard for more stability. For around forty dollars at the time of purchase, this seemed like a great deal, but I'm a little hesitant to recommend it. ... show more

First, when they said no tools, they meant it. We put this together in about 20 min, no tools! Directions were very easy to follow. It is holding my 50” tv very easily and looks good doing it. I didn’t realize the drawers were fabric, but it doesn’t take away from the stand.
