Warranty Description: SureGuard warrants to the owner of each its products that if the laminate, fabric or zipper becomes damaged within a period of 10 years from the date of purchase as a result of normal household use, SureGuard will replace the protector provided the care instructions have been followed. The warranty covers the protector product only. Purchase receipt must be retained and presented to validate the warranty. For commercial purchases (non-household purchases) the warranty is reduced from 10 years to 2 years. All conditions and exclusions still apply. Exclusions - the warranty does not cover (i) Protectors that have been neglected, mishandled or abused; (ii) stains or other damage caused by nail polish, inks cosmetics, bleach, non-food related grease, corrosives, chemicals, alcohol or dyes; (iii) stains or other damage occurring prior to or during delivery or while the mattress is in or being moved into or out of storage or being moved between residences; (iv) stains or damage caused by, or the result of mold or mildew; (v) damage caused by animal beaks, teeth or claws; (vi) stains or other damage caused by or related to fire (including water damage), smoke, flood or other natural disaster, theft or vandalism, or any other loss that is covered under an insurance policy; or (vii) stains or other damage caused by structural problems or appliance malfunctions such as, but not limited to, leaks from the air conditioners, skylights, roofs water heaters or water pipes.

This mattress encasement fit my mattress perfectly, despite the thickness range of 6-8 inches. I have older mattress style and doesn’t have pillow top. I installed myself by starting in one corner and lifting and pulling by creating an open space than pulling, two people install would be easier. The material has a terry like fabric on “top” only, so rotating the mattress will be different as terry like material is only on “top”. It’s likely that the waterproofing is in the “terry like” fabric. After reading product description, SureGuard also offers a mattress cover for added waterproof protection and it talks about a terry cloth top… so I gather the terry cloth fabric is only waterproof. If you want more waterproofing you can get the mattress cover, so how waterproof is this encasement? I didn’t pour water to test waterproof effectiveness. I purchased for added bug protection and based primarily on the thickness “height” dimensions of the encasement, I didn’t want a lot of excess fabric to tuck under the mattress so this 6-8 inch height was perfect fit with no excess material, select best fit for your application as there are many different brands with varying “height” dimensions. Overall, great fit, relatively easy to install, fabric feels like quality, pricier than others and would hope it performs to their 10 year warranty. ... show more

We got this to keep our rescue dog (aka untrainable, broken, but loveable mutt) from urinating on our bed. He submission urinates whenever you try to touch him (or sometimes if you look at him wrong). It took about 3 minutes to put this on our queen size mattress by myself, and get it zipped up and back on the frame. Our mattress is a 12 inch Sealy Posturepedic, and the cover fit like a glove. Good thing it took so little time, because as soon as I was done, the dog jumped on the bed and immediately peed on it. The urine cleaned off very easily, but left a tiny bit of a yellow stain. None got through to the mattress! I swear we're not disgusting people, and have sought the help of trainers - they've verified that our poor pooch is just broken.
