I have an Ecin Twin (75” long) Shikibuton purchased here on Amazon, and was looking for a cover. With all of the reviews talking about this cover shrinking, I decided to get the XL Twin for this cover and use my regular washer and dryer settings to let it shrink. It does get much shorter, but the width seems to generally stay the same. Now the cover is just a few inches longer than the futon, but I just fold the extra underneath to look more neat. And, most importantly, I don’t have to hang it to dry or wash it in gently, because who has time for that kind of special care? It is comfortable. I have only just put it on, so I cannot comment on durability yet, but seems like it will be fine. The zipper seems sturdy. We shall see. ... show more

I love this cover for my futon. I've been using it for a little over a month now and have washed it weekly and followed instructions. I wash it in a laundry mesh bag and hang it outside to dry. Relatively easy to put on and off full size futon.

I have a queen size futon, but got the king size cover to make it easier to take on and off to wash. It’s been working great so far, and I look forward to continuing to use it! ... show more

I bought this to go with my Fuli futon mattress. Although it takes some work, the mattress fits well into it. The quality is good and it feels great sleeping on it. I just felt this cover is overpriced.

UPDATE: My white sheet got discolored after over a year of usage, and when ordering a replacement, I noticed it's way larger than it used to be. Returned thinking it was irregular and informed FULI customer service. Months later, decided to re-order assuming it was addressed by now, but no, still same oversized issue. This cover is LAUGHABLY larger than it should be. Customer service took my complain seriously and I really do admire and appreciate that. But I will be removing my 5-star review. Their reply is that they started making them larger than normal because customers were complaining of shrinkage. First of all, that is user error. It says DO NOT put in dryer. This is a terrible resolve. And I was so desperate to get mine to fit, that I put mine in the dryer and it's still comically ill-fitting. This make my entire setup spoiled: the mat & the mattress aesthetic is ruined because of this. Love this company, but no chance can I keep my 5-star review up. This is so disappointing. They did say they are taking my complaint seriously and are re-discussing with management and even the president iirc. FIX IT. ____ Looks incredible. And the best sleep I ever had. The instructions clearly say to line dry it, but I washed on warm and tumbled dry on medium and the queen-sized shikibuton also made by Ful stilli fits great inside. It was somewhat snug initially, curling the edges of the shikibuton immediately after washing but after sleeping on it there is no issue and the entire set lays flat. (I also have a conventional queen sized mattress protector over the shikibuton, so an extra layer and and the sheet still fits over everything neatly.) I’ll experiment with subsequent washes/drying to see if the sheet shrinks any further. The sheet itself is a nice crisp cotton and the full encasing of the shiki makes it so convenient to fold the entire set after use. Considering that typical queen sized decent sheet sets are usually more than $100, this is a fairly good price for the quality of 100% cotton and the convenient design. ... show more

Perhaps the price should have tipped me off that this was going to be closer to a bedsheet than a futon cover. I was expecting more in terms of weight and quality. I was also extremely disappointed with the washing instructions. You are instructed to wash it in a net bag (which I did not have on hand) to prevent pulling and discoloration. Then you are told NOT to tumble dry or use a machine dryer. You have to hang it to dry, but not expose it to the sun for extended periods. If a cotton cover can't survive a regular machine wash and dry, I don't have much faith it will stand up to people lounging on it for any period of time, even though we have a throw blanket that will be covering it. My last futon cover, which admittedly required dry cleaning, lasted for 25 years. It was zippered and heavy-weight. I'm keeping this cover for now, until I can find a replacement. But if you want something sturdy that's more than the weight of a bedsheet, I would invest in something else. ... show more
